Manufacturing Engineer
Research, test, & prototype automated solutions for use in manufacturing environment
Design, development and manage of new, complex, equipment and processes
Research and strategically source external vendors to bring in engineering solutions that meets needs of process specifications
Identifies and solves engineering problems -troubleshoot automation equipment and determine root cause of failure and provide preventative solutions
Evaluate production processes and make improvements for better yield and greater efficiency.
Coordinate project work with other engineers, technicians, designers and/or drafters
Interface with cross functional teams (i.e., Manufacturing, Tech Svcs., R&D and Marketing) in problem solving with regards to equipment and systems
Development and build of equipment at all levels.
Work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues
Create, update and maintain equipment and/or test fixture BOMs, assembly documentation/procedures/SOPs/URS/V&V
Skills/Qualifications
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
7-10 years manufacturing engineering experience with complex manufacturing automated systems.
Must have demonstrated ability and experience in conducting design of experiments, and apply creative problem solving, mechanical design and prototyping
Must have experience developing and documenting engineering test reports
Must have experience in Solidworks
Experience in fabrication processes (i.e. machining, sheet metal, molding, casting) preferred
Experience in manufacturing processes/tools like Agile, BOM Structures, Engineering Change process, Manufacturing Deviation process and Discrepant Material process.
Must have good interpersonal and teambuilding skills.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have excellent organizational skills.
