Nobis is hiring a full time Project Manager to join the Environmental Team in our Concord, NH office to support commercial, state/municipal, and federal environmental projects in New England and beyond. Were looking for an experienced project manager to represent Nobis through the entire course of the project, communicate project status and performance to internal management, and manage the project team. This position includes both management and technical support for investigation, remediation, and long-term site management for a variety of project types, which may include: environmental due diligence, water supply, CERCLA, brownfields (for federal, state, and regional agencies), NHDES ODD Fund, compliance assistance, and others.


 


Essential Functions:



  • Participate in client meetings, in the negotiation process and formulating proposals, and presentations.

  • Maintain understanding of project finances including project budget, terms of agreement, changes in agreement, scope, billing process, and settlements.

  • Monitor client responsibilities and communicate deviations to the client.

  • Establish project goals that are consistent with contract agreements. Know fee arrangements, management system, and project schedule requirements.

  • Determine team staffing requirements and work with appropriate managers to plan and staff projects.

  • Coordinate with procurement, accounting, and administrative staff to accomplish project subcontracting, project accounting activities such as project tracking, set up, tracking, and invoicing, and report and document formatting and review.



Position Requirements:



  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering, Geology,  or a related science from a four-year college required; Masters degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience required.

  • Knowledge of New Hampshire petroleum storage tank and contaminated site management regulations, hazardous waste site investigation and remediation, remedial implementation and oversight, applicable planning documents, and environmental compliance.

  • Experience in multiple forms of soil and groundwater remediation, remedial alternatives evaluations, remedial action implementation, and multimedia site investigations.

  • Must have a working knowledge of MS Word and Excel software applications,

  • Must have OSHA 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification and annual 8-hour refresher, as applicable.

  • Licensure as a NH Professional Geologist or Engineer is highly preferred.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and technical writing skills are required.

  • Must possess a valid drivers license, have own transportation, and be able to travel for project site visits, meetings, data collection, and training. Travel is highly dependent on project work requirements and may be extensive at times.
