Overview




Summary:


Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to be embedded with USSTRATCOM. This individual will assist in developing and overseeing implementation of policy, programs, plans and guidance for Defense Intelligence warfighting support to the CCMDs, to review and advocate for intelligence capabilities of the Joint Intelligence Operations Centers, and to evaluate and oversee DIA,NSA/CSS, NGA, and NRO activities to ensure effective support to DoD and USG interagency operations and activities. To enable this, the Enterprise Architect will be responsible for defining and executing an Enterprise Architecture (EA) Strategy and for maintaining related guidance, resources, and deliverables.




Responsibilities

+ Tasking includes data gathering, requirements collection, strategic planning, the continued development of standard operating procedures(SOP) in the form of an EA Style Guide and the use of EA tools based on CCMD and industry EA best practices.

+ Establish the tools, processes, and methods to capture, integrate,and visualize EA data from the CCMDs into an integrated Enterprise picture,utilization of EA data to support leadership decision, maintenance of key CCI EA methodology documents and the development of new materials, and the administration of a CCI EA working group.

+ Focus on building relationships within the CCMD with subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand and capture the underlying data to populate the enterprise architecture consistent with the CCI EA Strategy and Style Guide. The EA will identify the key operational activities, related business processes, and systems architecture encompassing the complete intelligence cycle. The EA will engage CCMD SMEs to fully understand the workflow of each business process and capture inputs, outputs, decision owners and identify the IT enablers that support each step.

+ The EA shall collect sufficient information to produce not less than the following DoDAF views: OV-5a,OV-5b, business process/as-is workflow maps for key operational activities within the operational views, OV-2, SV-1, SvcV-1.

+ The EA shall maintain all data Captured with source information, and upon availability, shall input data and utilize a licensed EA software/knowledge management tool.

+ The EA shall also capture and share any existing architecture documentation relevant to the CCMD or to CCI EA, to include specific service provider, system, component command, or other technical architectures.

+ The EA shall capture and provide data to support the CCMD J2/JIOC with the development of intelligence support plans.

+ The EA shall respond to tasking from the CCI EMSO related to CCI EA efforts, to include but not limited to, engaging with CCMD personnel and providing CCMD input on revisions/updates to the CCI EA Strategy and Style Guide, implementation/training/use of an EA software/knowledge management tool,functional and non-functional requirements development for operational capabilities, non-materiel solution implementation efforts, and other efforts key to the success of the CCI program.

Qualifications




Experience:

+ Five (5) years of related experience




Computers:

+ Proficient at all MS Office Products




Additional Desired Qualification:



+ Strong written and Oral skills


+ Good understanding skills using DODAF tools


+ Detailed Oriented


+ A strong and detailed understanding of COCOM IT assets and IC tools and practices. Preferably past experience working at the specific COCOM


+ Candidate must be motivated, professional, and able to work on site with limited supervision to be successful


+ Embed must possess training in Business Process Engineering, Systems/Solution Architecture, Information Systems Management, Continuous Process Improvement, or Organizational Change Management.

+ All personnel should be familiar with the U.S. Department of Defense and/or operational military command structure, and/or possess extensive expertise in the fields of intelligence or command and control (C2)




Education:

+ BS in systems engineering, computer science, or an information technology discipline from an accredited university. Four additional yearsoperational experience may be a substitute for the degree
