Perspecta has an immediate need for a DoDAF (Department of Defense Architecture Framework) Enterprise Architect, located in Quantico, VA.

Job Description

  • Junior to mid-level Architecture developer producing standard DoDAF architecture views, fit-for-purpose, fusion, and composite views as needed.
  • Able to identify, categorize, structure, and format architecturally relevant data from disparate sources and formats (Excel, MS Access) for use in the Marine Corps Enterprise Network Architecture (MCEN).
  • Assist in the modeling and development a wide variety of architectural visualizations for a range of stakeholder uses.
  • Additional roles will include working closely with Architects and Network Engineers to assess the inventory of Enterprise level hardware (routers, switches), cyber security appliances, servers, circuits, and software/applications, IT Service Management (ITSM) processes to assess their impact level to modernize the MCEN and affect the planning, programming, budget, and execution process.
  • Provide analytics and insights from the MCEN architecture and technical baselines about the current state and visibility of hardware, software, facilities, and circuits for enterprise network modernization
  • Model existing and new IT Service Management Processes (ITSM) as part of the overall MCEN architecture with initial focus on capturing the ongoing maturity of USMC ITSM activities as they are approved and integrate these into the architecture model and repository. Developing these models will help demonstrate how the USMC ITSM processes are maturing for: Change Management, Service Asset Configuration Management (SACM), Release & Deployment, Incident and Problem Management, and establish a Capacity and Availability Process to support the functional technical baseline effort.



  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Experience with the DoDAF architecture is highly desired. Experience with other common architecture frameworks such as, The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Ministry of Defence Architecture Framework (MODAF), Zachman Framework.
  • This network experience specific to the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) would be preferred
  • Ability to research and derive analytics and insights from integrated data sources
  • Experience with BPMN or other business process modeling methods
  • Experience as part of an Agile project team desirable
  • Experience working in depth with MS Excel, Access or MS Power BI or other BI analytics tools desired
  • Enterprise architecture experience working with DoDAF solution architectures, segment/portfolio architectures or agency-level architectures in a DoD Environment MCEN specific experience preferred
  • Experience with any common architecture development tools including: UNICOM (IBM) System Architect, ERWin Casewise Enterprise Architecture Suite (including ERWin Evolve Designer and Evolve Diagram Designer), Sparx Enterprise Architect.
