The Program Manager will lead PMO organization for their designated assignment and also lead assigned programs/projects in order to ensure successful program/project completion with respect to quality, performance, schedule and financial objectives.

**Day in the life:**

Facilitate resource analysts for programs/projects with functional leaders to determine resource needs and project staffing.

Budget, hire, train and develop PMO team members.

Responsible for all platform level development programs, particularly those that involve new business strategies or technologies.

Responsible for the creation of development program objectives and product commercial release strategy.

Exercises necessary interpersonal and multitasking skills to effectively manage multiple cross-functional product development teams and ensure the development timelines and product commercial and quality objectives are met.

Provides continual, effective communication with all departments regarding program progress so as to be the primary contact point at any given time. Provides regular communication with the New Products Committee and Senior Staff.

Proactively identifies challenges and barriers that pose a potential threat to the successful completion of programs and formulates plans for correction. Leads project teams to find opportunities to improve project schedules or reduce costs.

Develops, maintains and administers budgets, schedules and performance standards for assigned development programs.

Establishes accountability standards within projects and holds internal and external stakeholders to those standards.

Provides process improvement with respect to quality and efficiency.

**Must Have: Minimum Qualifications**

- Bachelors degree and 5+ years of experience

-Advanced Degree and 3+ years of experience

**Nice to Have**

Demonstrated success managing multiple projects of varying complexity.

Working knowledge of quality, engineering design and manufacturing practices used in Class II and/or Class III medical device entities.

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage across departments; ability to interact effectively with others both verbally and in written form.

Minimum ten years experience with a Bachelors Degree or minimum eight years experience with Masters Degree.

Five years experience in a regulated industry (medical devices, pharmaceuticals).

Performance Management Leadership and Coaching Skills.

Proven ability to work independently and proactively.

Demonstrated success in managing multiple product development programs; experience as a project manager or functional manager.

Experience in medical device industry with the ability to effectively interact with surgeons and sales personnel.

Proven creativity and ability to think conceptually.

Ability to effectively interact and communicate with others both verbally and in written form.

Basic knowledge of quality, engineering and manufacturing principles; experience working with external design and/or manufacturing vendors desirable but not essential.

Results oriented and a personal drive to continually meet or exceed objectives.

Ability and passion for arriving at detailed project plans and consistently bringing those projects to completion with respect to quality, performance, time and budget
