Job Description
Low Yield Analysis (LYA) characterization engineering technicians are responsible for technical functions in support of engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modifications, and characterization of assembly technologies. They conduct engineering tests to collect data and assist in research and development work. Assignments are varied in nature and require a high degree of technical understanding of the back-end assembly and substrate manufacturing disciplines. Some degree of judgment is required in resolving non-standard problems. Candidates will work closely with engineers in a collaborative environment. In this position, you will be responsible for working with yield engineers to characterize new assembly and substrate technologies as well as determining the root cause of defects on both products and test vehicles.


Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must possess an Associates or Bachelor's degree in relevant STEM (science, technology, engineering or mathematics) field or equivalent military training
6 months or more of experience working in a laboratory setting.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with characterization techniques such as mechanical cross sections, ion mill, FIB, SEM, XRD, AFM, FTIR and Raman.
Knowledge of Microsoft office and basic statistical analysis.
