RFFE teams are addressing the modem-to-antenna link offering an extensive portfolio of RF Front End components engineered to deliver integrated solution for industry-leading RF performance solving the challenges that poses 5G NR. The design center of 40+ engineers based in Sophia Antipolis is dedicated to micro-acoustic SAW and BAW filters, working in worldwide collaboration with system engineers, module design teams, marketing teams, other micro-acoustic design centers and factory to transform 5Gs potential into world changing technologies and products. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven, team player, well organized and result oriented individual who will be responsible for industrializing RFFE micro-acoustic components. As Product Industrialization (PI) Engineer, you will team up with Product Design (PD) Engineer, insuring together that, along the various design iterations allowed by the planning, the products developed in the design center are progressively reaching optimum performance, mandatory compliance with quality manual and reliability requirement and is meeting high volume production standard: processability, yield, testability. PI main responsibility is to produce all necessary evidences, to present them during a release meeting with operation stakeholder and finally to reach an agreement on a low risk start of high production quantity. Participating in pre-design and design reviews to check the conformity of designs to the requirements of production and to know the technical and technological options selected by the designer. On each run of sample, you are requesting, collecting and analyzing, against simulation provided by designer, electrical measurements at different steps of front-end production and of finish goods, statistical process data, results of reliability tests and CPK data. In case of issue, you will work with design engineer, production, test engineering to put in place counter measures, for example restart a sample run with a better centering in process window, provide input for a new design iteration, ... When customer has agreed the product specification, you will present these data to the release committee to agree upon mass production start. You will also work with other PI of the design center and other design center to improve the good practices and drive development of tools which are used to prepare the industrialization document, establishes close relationships with Operations for the continuous improvement of procedures, regularly conduct internal trainings for designers to provide them with the necessary information in real time.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Good understanding of industrialization engineering fundamentals, manufacturing process and component physics.
  • Ability to gather, integrates and interprets information from variety of sources in order to identify fundamental patterns in data.
  • Develop and maintain a vast network of relationship internally to the design center and externally with other design team or reliability, test and manufacturing team worldwide.
  • Experience in delivering technical presentations to different technical audiences (worldwide).
  • Organization and clarity are a must since the candidate will have several projects to follow in a constraint schedule and will be expected to follow the same logic for all projects.
    Self-driven, able to take initiative and responsibilities, offer innovative solutions to overcome technical or organizational challenges.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with RF components industrialization and preferably such as SAW filters.
  • Familiarity with filters related parameters like loss, suppression, VSWR and with statistical parameters like CPK.
  • Experienced at leading projects from first design stage to production release.
  • Experienced at team work in an international environment.
  • Experience in software such as Office and professional electronic software like AWR.
  • Ability to use both linux and windows environment and to automate tasks using either bash scripts, VBA scripts or Python scripts.
  • Good English is preferred and French language skills would be nice to have.
  • Education Requirements Engineering (Master) degree or higher qualification.
