EMEAI Marketing Executive (Apprenticeship)

Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions:

The EMEAI Marketing Executive is part of the EMEAI Regional Marketing Team whose main objective is to generate high quality leads for the sales team to convert to new business. The team does this through the planning & execution of tactical marketing activities, including events, seminars, email campaigns, webinar, 3rd party advertising and social media. The Marketing Executive will work closely with campaign and digital specialists within the regional marketing team, as well as global marketing and sales.

The Marketing Executive role is part of a Level 4 Marketing Executive apprenticeship program. The job role will start in July 2020 and the apprenticeship will start in September 2020. During the apprenticeship 20% of time will be spent on off-role study. The apprenticeship duration is 15 months, after which there will be the potential for progression into a full time member of the team.

Within the program there are 6 modules. Within each module, the apprentice will receive training, coaching and learn on the job around marketing, commercial, soft skills and Danaher Business System (DBS). The apprentice will develop their skills so that by the end of the program they are able to carry out the responsibilities listed within each module below:

            Email Marketing

  • Build and execute email campaigns and create landing pages
  • Use marketing automation platforms (Eloqua)
  • Analyze performance of email campaigns and landing pages
  • Work with graphic design team to develop graphic assets for campaigns

    Social Media Marketing

  • Plan, build & execute unpaid and paid social media campaigns
  • Track and optimize social media campaigns to drive Return On Investment (ROI)

    Event Management

  • Plan, organize and execute tradeshows & seminars using event planning tools, working with internal team and external partners
  • Coordinate and execute logistics including booth building and equipment, meeting planning, housing, personnel assignment/roles/registration, equipment, vendor management, show services, lead collection
  • Support regional sales teams with development, implementation and tracking of smaller local events plans
  • Build forms and train team on using lead capture software (Integrate) at tradeshows
  • Maintain marketing equipment inventory for premiums, dummy instruments and collateral

    Marketing Planning & Reporting

  • Support the development of value propositions and create marketing campaigns using marketing campaign planning frameworks (SOSTAC)
  • Use marketing planning software (Wrike) to update live marketing plan and track performance
  • Use Power BI and Salesforce.com CRM dashboards to understand marketing lead and opportunity performance
  • Measure ROI on marketing activities
  • Build and present reports & updates on marketing performance and activities
  • Update and organize regional sales seminar plan with sales team

    Lead Management & Qualification

  • Qualify marketing leads to establish purchase intent prior to passing to sales
  • Ensure leads are routed to followed up by the sales team
  • Analyze lead performance to drive improvement
  • Help improve lead management processes

    Soft Skill Development & Danaher Business System (DBS):

  • Presentation Skills €“ create & deliver presentations to management, marketing team and other functions
  • Influencing Skills €“ work with cross-functional departments to achieve marketing objectives
  • Cultural Awareness €“ work with associates across the Europe, Middle East, Africa, India (EMEAI) region
  • Training €“ train other departments and stakeholders on how to use marketing tools / processes

      Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

      • Interest in Marketing
      • GCSEs A-C grades in English, Mathematics, Science
      • A-Levels or equivalent further education
      • Demonstrable interest in what Danaher and SCIEX do
      • Fluency in spoken and written English
      • Demonstrable ability to work to Danaher€™s core values
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
      • MS-Office knowledge - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook

        Additional Requirements:

        The role is office based. The successful candidate will be required to travel to and from the office in line with working hours.
