Job Description

This position is a technical sales lead aligned to the Business Unit Sales head. Responsible for advising and influencing end-user customers, ISVs, OEMs, partners and scale engines. Responsible for understanding the business use case and technical merits of a solution and co-owning relationships with customer/partner decision-makers to influence the customers purchasing decisions. Works with all audiences to accelerate the adoption of Intel-based platforms and document gaps/provide feedback to solution stakeholders including solution architects, vertical/horizontal business leaders and partners, OEMs, system integrators, solution integrators, solution providers, and ISVs service providers. Daily activities will include providing direct technical assistance to customers and partners, interfacing with Sr. technical decision makers for Line of Business and Operational Technology Groups and representing customer market segment requirements back into the business unit for future product planning.

This job is responsible for driving BU strategy, trends and opportunities in a way that aligns/adapt to local markets. Drives alignment between Business Unit Sales and Country/Territory Sales teams to enable product strategies, roadmaps, plans and program execution to satisfy local customer needs. Responsibilities cover field and customer downstream sales activities including prelaunch preparation, launch and ramp readiness, partner enablement, overseeing the development and production of marketing material, sales training, and issue/opportunity management coordination between the field and the Business Unit Sales. Acts as a central point of expertise for the business unit/BU Sales in the country/territory.

The Intel Sales and Marketing Group has an immediate job opening for an Intel Ethernet Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) supporting EMEA. The TSS is a technical Ethernet product champion primarily supporting Intel's OEM and end-user consumption account teams for customer pre-sales technical engagements and Intel Ethernet product evaluations/qualifications. This is a strategic technical role that will influence the continued growth and success of Intel Ethernet in EMEA.

What you will do at Intel:

  • Support pre-sales opportunities across Intel's broad market, OEM and consumption segments in EMEA including Cloud, Communications Service Providers/Telco, Enterprise vertical segments, and Embedded/IoT.

  • Support customer RFQ discussions, assist in building relationships between customers and the Intel Ethernet business unit product and solution architects, collaborate with technical teams, customers and Intel business unit to build Ethernet related solutions and help to tune, configure, and/or optimize solution performance.

  • Collaborate with other Intel Technical Specialists and Intel Field Application Engineers to provide their customers with technical pre-sales Ethernet support.

  • Be an important voice from the EMEA region in the Ethernet Products Group business representing customer product evaluation criteria and key product support issues requiring business unit assistance.

  • Provide product roadmap update presentations as well as technical and product training in EMEA.

  • Support customer Ethernet product sampling requests and assist customers with product evaluations, qualifications, feature testing and comparisons, and POCs involving the Intel Ethernet products.


  • Technical professional with relevant background/education (Bachelor's or Master's degree is required in a relevant discipline)

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent) in technical sales or technical support capacity with a track record of success

  • Experience working with networking and data centre technology infrastructure and customer workloads/applications

  • Strong communications and collaboration skills

  • Strong customer orientation and interest in working with technical teams

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Prior experience with Ethernet and/or connectivity technologies is a plus

  • Occasional business travel is required
