**Job Purpose:**

The EMEA Strategy team works in close partnership with the regional CEO, CFO and other senior management to formulate and implement strategies for the EMEA franchise. In this capacity, the team advises Citis senior management on long-term strategy formulation, portfolio optimisation across products, clients and geographies, assessment of market trends and competitive dynamics. The team also manages high-impact projects related to strategic and operational challenges. In addition, it partners with business units to develop growth strategy initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ The position is at the Vice President level within the EMEA Strategy team, based in the London office.

+ This individual will be responsible for leading and supporting strategy development projects across institutional banking EMEA.

+ The individual will lead analytical modules and financial modelling and analysis efforts to produce strategy insights for EMEA leadership on a wide range of topicsThe individual will play a key part in EMEA competitor analysis, including reviews of competitor institutions, detailed analysis of competitive data, monitoring press updates and conducting ad-hoc analysis.

+ The individual will have ownership of ad-hoc materials produced for the EMEA Management Team, partnering with the relevant data owners on topics such as country / sub-region analysis, client analytics, macro environment and industry news.

+ The team are expected to provide topical inputs to EMEA management materials reviews and will generally oversee the production of Citigroup Board materials related to the EMEA region.

**Qualifications and Competencies:**

+ Candidates should have strong financial and strategic analysis experience. They should have a strong interest in and demonstrated expertise in the financial services industry. Relevant work experience includes top-tier management consulting and/or investment banking with FIG specialisation.

+ Required skills include superior problem-solving abilities, project management, teamwork, quantitative aptitude, and the ability to effectively synthesise and communicate complex business issues.

+ Ability to think strategically and independently lead strategic modules are critical to the role. The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to adapt the style to suit the audience.

+ Leadership skills combined with the ability to influence senior stakeholders formally and informally are essential.

+ Experience at a top management consulting firm is highly valued, but not a prerequisite.

+ Fluency with financial modelling, advanced analytics and data visualisation tools and presentations as well as expert proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Word) is expected.

+ Candidates should have an undergraduate degree from a top-tier institution ideally in Finance, Economics or another quantitative discipline. Qualifications such as MBA or CFA are preferred but not required.

+ The successful candidate will demonstrate aptitude in communicating with senior management, a desire to work across different areas of the business, and a strong commitment to excellence.

+ Demonstrate an appreciation of a diverse workforce and differences in style or perspectives and be able to use these differences to add value to decisions. The role is well-suited to a highly motivated and self-driven individual with a positive attitude and a desire to make change happen.
