Job Description

This is a commissioned sales position. Responsible for working with end users across multiple industries on the engineering concept, design and implementation of innovative, cost effective and high-performance Edge AI solutions. This includes working closely with key software partners to define and implement solutions based on Intel platforms that solve customer problems with a competitive, compelling value proposition while playing a critical role to establish Intel's position as a leader in AI inference solutions.

In this commissioned technical sales role, a successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Account Executives and Technical Specialists as the local expert on Edge AI software solutions to deliver end user deployments (Deal Wins) of AI inference running on Intel platforms
  • Working with Consumption Account Executives calling on end users and SIs to identify and qualify top opportunities for Edge AI solutions that deliver short term revenue as well as long term strategic value
  • Understanding business use cases, technical merits and compelling TCO value propositions that are relevant to OT business and technical decision makers for Intel based solutions vs the competition
  • Proposing solutions that solve customer pain points and demonstrate a performance/TCO advantage to end users with documented metrics
  • Engaging directly with architects, engineers, senior management and business decision makers at key customers to architect Edge AI solutions that maximize Intel share of wallet vs. competition and influence decision making to win deals
  • Aligning with software partners to deliver solutions that meet customer requirements and maximize Intel content
  • Understand the software solution portfolio and industry use cases to position partners and bring value to customers
  • Identifying and recommending solutions to remove roadblocks and bottlenecks during the development process
  • Developing a Trusted Advisor relationship with key customers and ecosystem partners to create pull and influence new software Production Wins with ISVs


A successful candidate will:

  • Understand current OT and Edge Compute software technologies, trends and best practices
  • Have hands on experience architecting, designing, and implementing AI solutions, particularly those involving DL based video or imaging analytics - preferably including actual deployments
  • Demonstrate expertise in DL / CV tools
  • Be knowledgeable in software frameworks for media processing and analytics
  • Understand end to end solution architecture including compute, orchestration, security, storage and networking as well as edge to cloud implementations
  • Have prior experience in a customer facing role and be able to employ solution selling methodologies to influence the customer organization and Intel to deliver sales results
  • Work in a collaborative team environment across Intel's Sales and Marketing Group, business units and partner teams, coordinating the right resources to get the job done, taking ownership and/or handing off where appropriate
  • Learn from, collaborate with, and influence the brightest technical minds in the industry to share best-practice knowledge amongst the edge Solution Architect community (within Intel and ecosystem partners)
  • Encapsulate customer/market feedback to influence future products/technologies from Intel and software partners
  • Utilize excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks in a very interrupt driven environment
  • Thrive in a fast paced, collaborative and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, presentation and collaboration skills - including the ability to reach trusted advisor status with customers and partners

Minimum Qualifications:

  • English is a must and native Japanese language capability is preferred (to deal with Japan customers)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a technical role developing end to end enterprise scale solutions, including architecting AI solutions
  • Experience in a technical sales, pre-sales or other customer facing role
