Disney Parks Live Entertainment (DPLE) at Walt Disney Imagineering is a team of entertainment professionals, comprised of Creative Directors, Producers, Technical Directors, Designers, Production Managers and more, that imagines, develops, creates, designs, produces, the live entertainment offerings in our Disney parks and resorts worldwide and on board our Disney cruise ships. Live Entertainment Advanced Development (LEAD) is a research and development studio tasked with identifying and developing pioneering artistic talent, emerging technologies and bolstering the future and best of live entertainment in our parks globally.


Make an impact by¦
  • Supporting the LEAD Team through various phases of advanced development projects
  • Assisting LEAD Team with estimates, schedules, presentations, brainstorms and production documentation
  • Coordinating and attending meetings with LEAD and Entertainment Production teams
  • Providing assistance in supporting the development and execution of production process including tracking of financial status, reporting on progress against schedule and managing consultant and vendor efforts
  • Assisting with the curation and coordination of the Live Entertainment Podcast and weekly newsletter.
  • Supporting various production events, such as mockups and work sessions
  • Contributing to the development and execution of presentations and meetings
  • Providing research supporting the development of projects and presenting findings
  • Gain a deep understanding of the role of Live Entertainment within our parks by visiting and touring Disneyland Resort, participating in customized learning sessions, and becoming an integral member of the team

Basic Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Keynote and Microsoft Suite programs
  • Familiarity and some proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and audio/video editing software
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule including days, nights and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in theater or event coordination, preferably outside of an educational program
  • Current valid U.S. drivers license
  • Operating a company vehicle may be part of this role

Required Education

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior working towards a BA/BFA in Producing, Production Management, Event Management, Theater Management, Stage Management or related field

Preferred Education

  • Earning or completing a MFA/MBA/MA degree in Themed Entertainment or Experience Design, Stage Management, Production Management, Event Management, Producing or related field
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher

Internship Eligibility:
  • At the time of application, must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from college within the past six months OR be currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Not have already completed two consecutive (spring/fall) College or Professional Internship Programs
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must provide full work availability
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work
  • Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
Program Dates: The approximate dates of this internship are June through December 2020 Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.

Housing: This internship is in Glendale, CA. Participants must provide their own housing.
