Job Description
We are looking for a Disability and Leave Services (DLS) Trainer to develop and deliver training to our case managers, accommodation consultants and business partners. The Trainer plays a key role in developing the teams€™ knowledge in our business by designing and developing training programs aimed at increasing knowledge and proficiency to support operational performance. We are looking for an experienced training professional to partner with our business segments with product development and implementation of continuous improvements. This trainer will focus specifically on DLS onboarding and development programming.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in developing content, technical writing, ability to build web-based modules and help define our future-state of self-service training to best meet the needs of our globally based operations teams located in the US, Costa Rica and India.

DLS Trainer must have strong self-management skills, a desire to influence and educate, exceptional facilitation skills and the ability to translate business needs and goals into programs that impact the business€™s overall success. Responsibilities could include, and are not limited to:
· Create, organize, administer, maintain and manage product training curricula
· Build and deliver innovative training that is easily absorbed and applied across in-person, virtual, video and self-directed modalities
· Travel up to 60%, as needed, including international travel
· Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and mitigate risks to eliminate potential roadblocks in design, development and implementation of training
· Assess impact of training and measure knowledge retention
· Master training software and learning systems to deliver training and report on training effectiveness, iterating on content and delivery as needed
· Manage training logistics, including scheduling conference rooms, meeting requests and other items as necessary
Hold a key leadership role in refining and deploying an apprenticeship learning and development model, designed to bring all members of the operational team to a sound foundational competency in the domains of leave, disability and/or accommodation


· Bachelor€™s degree in HR, business, education or other relevant field, or equivalent professional or military experience
· 2+ years of experience as trainer and/or teacher, delivering and maintaining a curriculum in a classroom setting
· Knowledge of federal or state disability laws regarding employees with disabilities, specifically FMLA and ADA/ADAAA
· Experience in MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint


· An advanced degree or experience in Human Resources, Business, Integrated Disability and Absence Management, Workers€™ Compensation, Risk Management, Education, or some other related field
· 5+ years in a consulting or leadership role in the areas of human resources, leave and disability management, workplace accommodation, return to work management, vocational rehabilitation, nurse case management, ergonomics or cognitive/behavioral health
· Relevant professional certification (e.g. Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), Certified Professional Disability Management (CPDM), Senior Human Resources Professional (SPHR), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), etc.)
· Experience developing Web based training programs (i.e. Captivate; Camtasia)
· Excellent organizational and time management abilities and customer service skills
· Phenomenal communication, presentation and public speaking skills
