The Minimally Invasive Therapies Group strives to enable earlier diagnosis, better treatment, faster complication-free recovery, andenhanced patient outcomes through less invasive surgical solutions. SURGICAL INNOVATIONS sets the standard for Minimally Invasive Surgery(MIS) by creating innovative surgical products and services that focus on obesity and diseases and conditions of the gastrointestinal tract,lung, abdominal wall, pelvic region, and the head and neck.

**A Day in the Life**

You will work closely with Divisional leadership to ensure that continuous improvement, Lean and Six Sigma are deployed.

You will:

Develop, deploy and manage specific OpEx initiatives aligned with improvement strategy.

Assist senior leaders and champions in selecting projects that align with business/functional goals and strategies.

Become skilled at leading and coaching COS transformations.

Run large-scale improvement projects focused on deploying new processes and systems across the organization.

Conduct OpEx training on specific tools in alignment with Corporate OpEx standards and guidelines.

Coach and mentor OpEx Managers and Leaders to ensure their continued development in Lean and Six Sigma.

Coach and mentor the plants to implement OpEx systems and tools including the Cell Operating System, Workflow Maturity assessments,MOS acceleration workshops, First Time Quality, Lean deployment, Six Sigma deployment, SPC deployment, etc.

Ensure project tracking system and business results are maintained and results are communicated/ summarized monthly.

Manage the local Green Belt selection, mentoring, and certification process to build additional capability throughout theorganization.

Deploy mechanisms for knowledge sharing and best practice transfer to replicate and accelerate improvement efforts.

**Must Have: Minimum Qualifications**

Education: BS/BA degree or equivalent degree in Business Management, Engineering, or other related field of study with a minimum of 7 yearsrelative experience.

**Nice to Have:**

+ MBA, MS or other technical graduate degree preferred

+ Certified Black Belt

+ Solid implementation experience in Lean with value stream transformation experience

+ Minimum of 7 years of business operations and/or plant manufacturing or engineering experience, which includes 3+ years of demonstratedprocess improvement program success.

+ Experience leading High Maturity (COS) transformation projects, preferred.

+ Solid performance as a project manager.

+ Strong analytical/statistical problem solving tools.

+ Ability to support multiple projects and balance priorities.

+ Broad business knowledge and ability to link customer needs with business processes.

+ Strong coaching, facilitation and organizational skills.

+ Excellent oral/written communication and platform skills.

+ An understanding of and proficiency in Change Management.

+ Advanced skills in MS Office and statistical software packages (Minitab etc.).

Working Conditions: Travel typically ~50%, but varies based on initiatives ongoing.

*Lean or Six Sigma based certification is expected at various levels. If a candidate is selected without the appropriate certification,candidate should be enrolled in the training program for that certification within 12 months of hire, and certified within 24 months ofhire.
