This role can be based in any major US city.

Individual contributor role reporting to the Senior HR Business Leader (Sr. HRBL) chiefly accountable for partnering with their assigned business leaders to deliver a people strategy / talent agenda that drives business performance and growth. This position can be located anywhere in the US. Travel is required.

  • Serve as strategic partner to assigned business unit / regional / functional leaders, translating the needs of the business into a people strategy / talent agenda and bringing that strategy to life through plans that address hiring, retention, development, engagement & I+D.

  • Coach and consult leaders on organizational effectiveness, talent management, performance and development so they can lead the organization to meet established business targets using best practice techniques and processes.

  • Leverage change management and OD tools to facilitate organizational redesigns, team integrations and new executive assimilations.

  • Facilitate the talent review process and create plans to develop and deploy our key talent and address succession gaps.

  • Strategize with business leaders and the Talent Development and Employee Experience & Culture COEs to design and enhance learning, development. performance management, engagement and I+D programs, and oversee the delivery of these initiatives within their client groups in order to become a great place to work company.

  • Make people metrics visible routinely to drive leadership behavior and action.

  • In collaboration with Compensation team, ensure client group is able to attract, reward, and retain needed talent through compensation strategies that align with market conditions.

  • Understand existing workforce, and work with Operations to anticipate program wins and losses. Manage headcount to targeted levels and facilitate approvals for changing business conditions. Work with Talent Acquisition, Hiring Managers and Resource Directors to ensure robust, efficient, process that secures the key talent we need to manage the business.

  • Leverage AECOM mobility processes to enable cross-border development moves.

  • Provide business and employee perspective and insights to Centers of Excellence in order to represent the business in HR strategy/program/policy development.

  • Engage in executive level employee relations investigations and assist teams with resolving these employee relations matters; Provide counsel to managers and field personnel on performance expectations, code of conduct and fair employment policies and practices.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and 12+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, specifically with a mix of labor relations, employee relations and HRBP roles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An advanced degree and HR certification (i.e., MHRM, MILR, MBA with HR concentration and SPHR/SHRM-SCP, Prosci, DiSC, ICF and/or other assessment or coaching certification preferred).

Preferred to have worked in or led at least two HR COE functions (i.e., Talent Acquisition, Diversity, Compensation, Talent Management, L&D) plus have generalist experience.

People strategy development and execution experience.

Experienced at team start-up / team effectiveness facilitation and proven experience with Star Model (organization design).

  • Experience with process improvement approaches (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Simple Problem Solving).

  • Implemented or used Workday as human capital management solution.

  • Seen as a team player with a consultative style and ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism and diplomacy in interactions with all levels of the organization in a matrixed team environment.

  • Strong expertise in employment law, compliance, and managing sensitive executive level investigations.

  • Experience with analyzing talent data to make fact-based HR decisions and proposals.

  • Experience with immigration and moving talent globally.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the experience of making presentations to senior leadership and partnering with enterprise HR team on special projects.

  • Excellent follow through skills and the ability to anticipate and address business needs proactively.

  • Ability to maintain perspective, balance, and focus through challenge, uncertainty and change. Ability to work productively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
