As the Director, Software Development, you will lead a functional group within the AMD graphics driver team. AMD drivers are designed for multiple 3D graphics APIs (Direct3D, Vulkan, OpenGL) on multiple OSs (Windows, Linux, MacOS, Chrome, Android) for the AMD Radeon family of GPUs.  You will be responsible for building and leading a team of highly skilled engineers in designing, implementing, and optimizing AMD driver components on a range of ASICs on mobile, desktop and server platforms. To be successful in this role, you will have strong SW development background and exceptional technical knowledge, complemented with project management and organization skills, communication and presentation skills.   Hardware experience and knowledge is a strong asset.  You have outstanding people leadership skills to lead, motivate, and guide world class engineers working in fast-paced, matrixed, global environment.



  • Lead and manage one of the core development teams to deliver new graphics software and hardware, new graphics APIs and new OS features.
  • Build strong engineer talent across multiple OSs and platforms
  • Manage major projects engaging directly with the customer
  • Work closely with the team in improving development processes and pre-ASIC verification
  • Understand and present program/project technical status to executives, peers, and engineering teams
  • Set technical strategy and priorities for the team



  • 20+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • 10+ years people management experience of engineering teams
  • Demonstrated background managing a software engineering team working on kernel mode drivers, 3D graphics, display or CPU/ GPU optimization
  • Solid technical understating of kernel mode architecture and development for Win, MacOS, Linux or Android platforms
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Proven track record of successful program/project delivery
  • Experience preparing and presenting project updates to executives, peers, matrixed teams and customers
  • Experience working directly with customers 



BSc in Computer Science/Engineering

post graduate degree in engineering or business/management
