Essential Responsibilities 

  • This role will direct report of the Sr. Director, Human Resources and be a matrixed direct report to the business unit General Manager.
  • The Director HR Business Partner will lead a team of approximately 4 HR Business Partners (HRBPs). Establish and execute the client HR strategy, exercise thought leadership, exercise good judgment, make difficult decisions, and guide HRBP team to do the same.
  • Embrace corporate vision of “One Shared Mission” and bring leadership to think globally.
  • Collaborate with division functional leaders to create workforce and staffing plans to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish business results.
  • Use metrics/analytics to drive performance. Champion employee engagement, retention and diversity and inclusion. Be an employee advocate.
  • In collaboration with the Sector HR leader, drive L3Harris business operating system (“e3,” L3Harris’s continuous improvement operating model) principles and processes with a focus on increasing administrative excellence and process improvement within the division HR function.
  • Embrace and enforce all Corporate, Segment, and Sector processes, procedures, and programs across the division.
  •  Deliver Human Resources leadership and support to the division Leadership Team to facilitate meeting business and strategic growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with management and employees and provide advice and counsel on both employee-related and organizational matters.
  • Takes ownership and exhibits leadership for various Human Resources projects and initiatives at the division level.
  • Works closely with the sector HR lead to collaborate on matters related to the overall human capital strategy.
  • Ensuring that the HRBP team is fully engaged, successfully supporting their client groups, have the tools necessary to perform their roles, developing their HR skills and networks, receiving regular communication/guidance/direction, and ongoing performance feedback and coaching.
  • Ability to Travel less than 20%.
