**Job Description**

As the Director, Owned Asset Prioritization and Monetization, you will build and develop strategies to most effectively use our core owned assets, particularly the mass vehicles, to best cross-sell products and services across our retail front store and pharmacies, as well as appropriately monetize via suppliers and other third party relationships, where and how it makes sense.

A deep knowledge of retail and how to effectively leverage key assets in the retail shopper journey - the circular, store signage, digital signage, etc. is key to developing and leading a process to prioritize and optimize the cross-sell messages used in those vehicles. This team will also be the champions to adhere to process and gather Marketing assets on time and with accuracy to ensure executional excellence and impact.

Partnering closely with front store merchandising cross-functional partners from across the Enterprise, you will develop integrated marketing strategies and plans to support and deliver new customer, increased trips and spend enabling us to exceed our aggressive growth targets.

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and continually re-negotiating third party contracts that are designed to appropriately make our customers aware of product innovations. Its imperative that these monetization opportunities are balanced and appropriately integrated into a good consumer shopper experience one that augments, does not distract, from the shoppers mission.

Primary Role and Responsibility:

Owned Asset Prioritization and Management: Cross-sell Messaging

For key owned assets, drive cross-sell messaging hierarchy, timing, budget, and prioritization of cross-sell messages

Be agnostic about cross-sell programs and ensure appropriate decision-making for the business and for the consumer

Develop a well understood and adhered to process for identifying, prioritizing, and measuring effective use of owned assets for cross-sell messaging of other products and services

Clearly understand and articulate to other stakeholders the primary role of each asset and how cross-sell messaging should be used within the vehicle

Identify the right level of versioning to bring into these vehicles

Monetization Program Management

Annual contract review and management of third party monetization agreements

Identify new opportunities to appropriately monetize owned assets, in a way that helps consumers make confident choices within our retail stores

Build out business cases and financial models to support new opportunities and contribution to overall budget


Mentors team of 3 to articulate roles and responsibilities, sets accountability and provides feedback on performance.

Aligns with senior level business partners and Customer Analytics on KPIs. Partners with Customer Analytics to establish program measurement plans and reporting.

**Required Qualifications**

Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred. Ideally, an MBA.

8+ years of marketing experience with a strong foundation of business, retailer, and consumer understanding.

6+ years of cross-functional leadership experience.

4+ years of retail marketing, CPG, or retail agency/strategy experience.

**Preferred Qualifications**

Proven track record of the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external business partners in delivery ROI positive results.

Experience working in a highly matrixed organization

Intellectual curiosity and rigorous analytical experience; strong familiarity with the digital environment

Self-motivated, high capacity individual who can win in a demanding, performance-driven environment.

Excellent communication skills that can be effectively articulated in both written and oral forms across a diverse audience base.

Creative problem solver who can incorporate new learnings and act decisively and independently.

Deep appreciation of end-to-end consumer shopping experience

Proficient use of financial metrics/ratios to evaluate business cases and develop actionable insights

Proven ability to inspire, collaborate with, and influence business partners

Proven track record of growing and developing a high performing team
