Position Summary:

Honeywell Connected Industrial (HCI) is looking for a Senior Marketing Director to help our team capitalize on our rapid growth opportunities.

As a member of the Honeywell Connected Industrial (HCI) Leadership team, the incumbent will be responsible for identifying, documenting, and executing growth strategies. These growth strategies will be developed through expert use of Voice of the Customer discussions to discern customer segments, economics [willingness to pay and cost to serve], competitive dynamics, development of offerings for each target segment, and development of all go-to-market approaches including direct sales, channel, positioning and pricing.

The successful candidate will work closely with HCIs product marketing, product management, pricing, and customer marketing teams. This person will need to have the willingness and capability to both develop the strategy and roll up his/her sleeves to get the work done. This role will give the incumbent the opportunity to build something from the ground up while working in the context of a well-established, global organization.

The successful candidate will work closely with the field sales organization, key distributors, original equipment manufacturers, internal executives, and key business partners to maximize the growth, development and return on investment of the organizations product portfolio today and in the future. You will oversee business/market intelligence development, syndicated data, sales analysis and corresponding presentations so as to identify and capitalize on the most advantageous business opportunities.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans focusing on growing sales and increasing profitability
    \r Prioritize new strategic product line business opportunities
  • Drive the Annual Strategic Planning (STRAP) process with focus on growth components and key strategic initiatives for HCI
  • Support and provide strategic marketing guidance to Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Coordinate and deliver all key market and financial analysis requirements for Breakthrough (BT) growth (competition, trends, technologies, economics), leading to clear insights, strategic recommendations and identification of BT target spaces
  • Drive continual Observational / Voice of the Customer (OVOC / VOC) activities to validate market and segmentation understanding, anticipate and test customer needs for innovative initiatives that deliver value to drive growth in target spaces
  • Identify target customers, use cases and personas and drive definition of value propositions and business case economics of BT initiatives
  • Provide strategic guidance and work closely with marketing communications to build brand and drive sales through demand generation activities
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) commercial excellence activities to achieve product AOP and STRAP sales targets
  • Assist with commercial excellence value propositions, segmentation, sales tool kits, pipeline development activities, customer events, channel and corporate account development planning
  • Defining key market segments and applications of interest and positioning of cross HCE portfolio to drive HON sales synergies, differentiation and customer value to improve share of demand
  • Promote strong market orientation and influence strategy formulation and investment decisions
  • Work closely with other Honeywell strategic business groups (SBG) to drive partnerships and channel sales enablement
  • Lead M&A & external strategic partnership initiatives for Honeywell Connected Industrial in line with Honeywell Corporate & HCE Commercial Excellence


  • Master's Degree
  • \t15 + years of working experience, with significant experience in strategic marketing, channel marketing and/or product marketing in a global leadership capacity.
  • \t10 + years of demonstrated experience working with distribution, end users, and OEM customers across the complete product lifecycle, including NPI, portfolio management, sales forecasting/delivery, relationship management, etc.
  • \t5 + years of working experience and industry & domain knowledge in automated process or related industries



  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, Economics or an Engineering or Technical field.

  • \tExperience with core Honeywell Processes (STRAP, AOP, VPD, SIOP, etc.)
