Description The Director, Market Development provides support to Humana Health Plan of Louisiana and/or specialty companies relative to Medicaid product implementation, operations, contract compliance, and State contract application submissions. The Director, Market Development requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment. Responsibilities The Director, Market Development will lead implementation of the health plans goals and objectives, especially for clinical and population health programs, innovative product implementation, operations, and compliance with LA Medicaid contract obligations with strategic providers organization, partners, and community based organizations. The Director will also help plan leaders better coordinate work with each other to support the strategy in order to achieve shared results. The Director will play a key role in defining, planning, and realizing goals and objectives for the Medicaid contract and act in a Chief of Staff capacity by supporting the CEO and leadership team with strategy development, partnership identification and development, and management of population health offerings. In this capacity, the Director will work on problems of diverse scope, scale, impact, and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial and enable the leadership team in delivering highest value and opportunity to the plan. + Work with senior leaders to provide strategic advice and guidance using an in-depth understanding of the business strategy + Work across organizational and role boundaries to streamline goals and objectives + Ensuring the priorities of the plan CEO are communicated, understood and are being acted upon + Provide thought leadership around health plan strategies and program implementation + Work on complex matters, requiring an in-depth knowledge of Louisiana Medicaid program + Act as an advisor to the CEO and Regional VPs + Manage collaborative relationships with internal and external partners using relationship building skills + Assist CEO and leaders in connecting and building relationships with critical partners in support of community and Humana business strategies + Produce reports and other tools to help with execution of initiatives, track results and provide feedback to the plan leadership Required Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree or equivalent + Extensive healthcare regulatory experience + 3+ years of management experience + Proven experience working with Market Leaders and senior leadership + Prior demonstrated success in network management or provider relations + Excellent written and verbal communications skills + Experience in creating, and executing on, an enterprise scale business development strategic plan + Communication and presentation skills using Excel and Powerpoint Preferred Qualifications + Master's Degree Additional Information + Preference for person to reside in Louisiana. If not will need to commute into Louisiana 2- 3 days weekly to start.
