Overall responsibility for the procurement of all goods and services that the division uses to develop new products, produce existing products and support business functions.  Responsible for planning, scheduling, and inventory control. Production materials and contracted manufacturing services, R&D and production capital equipment, MRO purchases Facilities construction, office equipment and related services, information systems equipment, data communications and software procurement contracts and agreements.


•Develops and prioritizes overall purchasing department goals and objectives, measures performance, and institutes corrective actions to achieve them when necessary.

•Participates in critical material, capital equipment and services contract negotiations.

•Insures that the Supplier base is continuously optimized to insure the delivery of high quality materials and services at the best total acquisition cost and with dependable delivery.

•Establishes and maintains Supplier Relationships by visiting all key suppliers to review their performance, communicate business plans and future procurement plans, develop action plans to resolve quality and delivery problems and manufacturing issues.

•Responsible for the quality and delivery of all purchased goods and services.

•Establishes and executes the overall Suppler Management strategy and objectives.

•Develops objectives and programs to reduce the total acquisition costs for production materials, MRO and purchased services.

•Responsible for insuring procurement staff development and providing professional guidance.

•Responsible to develop, negotiate, and implement corporate contracts reducing overall procurement cost.

•Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Corporate Procurement Manual.

•Responsible to identify and implement innovative and state of the art sourcing strategies and techniques.

•Responsible to support the sourcing activities related to new product development.

•Responsible to initiate/facilitate/coordinate new and current product designs and design changes in order to improve quality and reduce cost.



Bachelors Degree (± 16 years)

Economics, Business or Finance an equivalent combination of education and work experience


Minimum 10 years in a role that requires strong analytical and leadership skills (e.g. Purchasing/Planning experience in a high volume manufacturing environment)

Substantial demonstrated skills in development and implementation of manufacturing and scheduling systems.

Extensive understanding of P&L, Supply Chain, contract structure, negotiation strategy and economics
