Job Summary:

Directs financial operations in the assigned area to ensure alignment with the mission, values and objectives of the department and organization.



  • Develops departmental goals, plans and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
  • Plans, organizes and directs all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.
  • Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
  • Demonstrates broad knowledge of applicable statutory, regulatory and administrative requirements relative to departmental operations and ensures compliance with the same.
  • Prepares departmental budgets and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
  • Other duties as assigned.


    • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, accounting or business administration.


      • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification/Master's degree preferred.

        Complexity of Work:

        • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
        • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action

          Work Experience:

          • Minimum of seven years of experience in business management, strategic initiatives, operational and capital budgeting processes, financial analysis and reporting.
          • Healthcare experience preferred, including a minimum of three years of supervisory and/or project management experience preferred.

            Physical Requirements:

            • Normal physical demands include high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a PC, normal or corrected vision, extensive sitting for prolonged periods of time, ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone and in person.

              Personal Protective Equipment:

              • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
