Description The Director, M&A identifies, researches, analyzes, makes recommendations and negotiates potential mergers, acquisitions and divestitures to support the organization's growth objectives. Makes recommendations regarding the impact of possible mergers, acquisitions and divestitures on the organization's profitability. Conducts appropriate due diligence to ensure the reliability of information provided by potential acquisition targets. The Director, M&A requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment. Responsibilities The Director, M&A makes recommendations regarding the impact of possible mergers, acquisitions and divestitures on the organization's profitability. Conducts appropriate due diligence to ensure the reliability of information provided by potential acquisition targets. Decisions are typically related to the implementation of new/updated programs or large-scale projects for the function and supporting technical/operational procedures and processes, and implements strategic plans, drives goals and objectives, and improves performance. Provides input into functions strategy. Required Qualifications + Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, sales or a related field + 8+yrs experience working with merges and acquisitions, business development + 5+ yrs of leadership skills with an interest in growing a business. + Experience in strategic planning and business development execution plans. + Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. + Extensive experience formulating partnerships vision, strategy, and execution plans. + Proven experience starting from scratch to develop, negotiate and structure complex deals. + Ability to build strong customer relationships and drive customer satisfaction. + Understanding corporate business development, market expansions & acquisitions, and ability to align business needs and values to prioritize business development targets for establishing new partnerships. + Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to influence and build relationships with people across all levels and organizations internally and externally + An entrepreneurial mindset and collaborative team player, including a high tolerance for ambiguity, a penchant for experimentation, and a bias towards action. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications + Strong work ethic, detail orientation and passion for excellence + Knowledge of general financial and accounting principals + Experience building and evaluating financial models + Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
