The Digital Marketing Data Scientist is a key member of the Digital Marketing Analytics and Data Science team on the Enterprise Research & Analytics team. Responsibilities include identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patters in complex data in order to provide answers to business questions as well as provide recommendations for action. Operation of Adobe Audience Managers look-a-like modeling to drive prospecting, layered with a strong third-party data testing methodology, will be key deliverables within this position. This role will play a major role in building and expanding new digital analytics capabilities primarily working inside an Agile studio with marketing, risk and technology resources. The role requires strong business analysis, relationship building, project management and leadership skills. Core Job Responsibilities Acquire data from multiple data sources in order to perform analysis. Interpret data and analyze results using various advanced statistical techniques and tools. Present data and analysis in a clear and concise manner allowing the audience to quickly understand the results and recommendations so they activate upon them and make data driven decisions. Deep-dive analytics into digital data sets including Adobe Analytics, advertising log files (i.e. DCM logs), identity management/resolution for people-based metrics and others as well as integrating with offline data to build predictive models that are then used to improve digital targeting and marketing Exploration of the array of third party data points available both in the known (offline) and anonymous (online) spaces to determine when to use which source for what purpose; a strong methodology to ensure effective test and learn strategies centered around successful and profitable use of third party data sets Ownership of Adobe Audience Managers look-a-like modeling capability including Model Risk Governance approvals, monitoring and validation; ongoing communication with Adobe on the gaps in capabilities, product roadmap, and effective utilization/measurement of the tool Responsible for the modeling process from end-to-end, including data gathering, feature engineering, model build and validation, and implementation into production systems. Ongoing pursuit of deep understanding of the digital analytics space with a keen appreciation for and drive to utilization of AI/ML capabilities Act as a consultative partner to key stakeholders throughout the bank to drive strategic targeting and measurement plans across initiatives Collaborate with media and advertising partners where necessary to ensure common understanding and utilization of targeting, analytics and reporting Ensure all data acquisition, sharing and results of applied recommendations are compliant with company standards. **Qualifications:** Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, computer science, engineering or applied mathematics, or equivalent work experience - Eight or more years of data science experience Preferred Skills/Experience Experience in statistical software such as SQL, R, Python, Excel, Hadoop, SAS for data extraction, data mining, and predictive analytics. Ability to operate within a marketing tech stack to conduct and interpret statistical analyses for significance, trends, forecasts and segmentation purposes Knowledge of statistical methodologies and application of methods within a digital marketing ecosystem Experience building lookalike audiences using deep understanding of business objectives, user behaviors, availability of traits, and iterative results from testing. Skilled at predicting customer and prospect behaviors through generation of propensity models that are tested and validated to demonstrate business improvement Ability to build data models to determine the relative performance of audience generation methods, targeting mechanisms and characteristics, and understand attribution and improve marketing ROI Adept in connecting requirements to technology, uncovering new uses of technology and defining product evaluation criteria Skilled in translating business questions into analytics requirements Demonstrated leadership skills Experience working on Agile marketing teams is a plus Experience in the financial services industry is a plus **Job:** Information Technology **Primary Location:** Minnesota-MN-Minneapolis **Shift:** 1st - Daytime **Average Hours Per Week:** 40 **Requisition ID:** 190018520 U.S. Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating a diverse workforce.
