Digital Design Engineering Lead Analyst

This role resides within the NAM Engineering Risk and Controls Technology team to manage workstreams pertinent to End of Vendor Support (EOVS) initiative for NAM safety and soundness portfolio. Technology Safety and Soundness is a series of controls and supporting processes that reinforces the core organizational focus on effectively managing risk. This workstream supports the NAM Safety and Soundness controls utilized to track and improve NAM Organizational risk with respect to Technical Debt.

The Digital Design Engineering Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family


+ Leads the EOVS workstream for NAM LOBs as a project and technology SME

+ Interfaces with senior project staff and client senior management teams regarding status of projects.

+ Recommends and oversees process improvements.

+ Has considerable business impact through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes and industry standards.

+ Provides expertise in area and an advanced level of understanding of the principles of IT project leadership.

+ Possesses a comprehensive understanding of how own area and others (i.e., architecture or infrastructure) collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives.

+ Directly impacts the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services.

+ Acts as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts; allocates work.

+ Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.

+ Persuades and influences others through and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills.

+ Engage with key stakeholders (mid to senior level managers), partners and teammates to define and refine processes that measure organizational goals and incorporate these into unified views for the organization

+ Provide analysis and meaningful interpretation of data to stimulate meaningful dialogue and decision making

+ Contributes to and / or creates internal communications; creates and prepares reports, metrics and presentations; provides expertise in own area and a solid level of understanding of the associated risks in the area

+ Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions

+ Develop organizational trust and confidence through accurate, timely, truthful and transparent communication and work products


+ 8-10 years of Subject Matter expertise within Technology and/or Operations in more than one control subjects inclusive of Vulnerability Assessments, Threat Management, Information Security, Access Management, Controls Management, Risk Controls, or Business Continuity.

+ Minimum 3-5 years working knowledge of Risk Controls with technology and/or operational risk practices within Citi or other large firms

+ Utilize strong investigative and analytical skills when managing complex issues to ensure root cause identification, implementation of effective remediation and design of effective preventative controls.

+ Experience working with mid-to-senior level managers and within large organizational structures

+ Effective verbal and written communication skills

+ Effective project management skills

+ Effective influencing, negotiation, and relationship management skills

+ Ability to provide adaptive data analysis and think analytically as needed

+ Functional knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.


+ Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
