Do you have an interest in biometric security or the science of fingerprint, face, or iris recognition? The Homeland Advanced Recognition Technology (HART) program is seeking Engineers to join their diverse team in the development of the next-generation biometric identification services system. This position will be located in Fairfax, Virginia.

The DevOps Engineer acts as a key team member responsible for coordinating DevOps tasks for the program including development/management of the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CICD) pipeline. He/she will support the team in all matters pertaining to DevOps including the following:

+ Supports enhancements to the DevOps and Configuration Management processes, procedure and documentation
+ Ensures definition and control of CIs and CM baselines, repositories, status accounting, procedures, and audits
+ Maintains and controls the CM tools, CIs, repository and baselines
+ Develops and maintains procedures to implement CM for software, requirements, and infrastructure
+ Supports the planning and coordination of software releases between test and production environments
+ Provides configuration status of Development, Test and Production Baselines and CIs
+ Develop and maintain software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased COTS software products
+ Maintain and administer version control systems using Software Configuration Management Tools (e.g. BitBucket)
+ Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable
+ Design and implement build procedures that are used to support software product development and use
+ May train software developers and other team members in the use of DevOps / configuration management tools and the implementation f software quality standards
+ Deploy and manage a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CICD) pipeline built on AWS, and including Jenkins, Docker, Bitbucket, OpenShift, amongst other tools

This position can be filled at either the DevOps Engineer level or the Principal DevOps Engineer level depending on years of experience and background as outlined below.

**Qualifications:**

**DevOps Engineer Basic Requirements:**

+ Bachelor's Degree and minimum 3 years of experience OR Master's Degree and 1 year of experience OR an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree
+ Minimum of 2 years' experience with managing Software Build and Deployment Automation using Jenkins, Docker, RedHat OpenShift, SonarQube, Artifactory, amongst other tools
+ Minimum of 1 years' experience with using the Atlassian suite of tools including JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket
+ Strong communication, leadership skills, and ability to work independently
+ US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD clearance

**Principal DevOps Engineer Basic Requirements:**

+ Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of experience OR Master's Degree and 4 years of experience OR an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree
+ Minimum of 3 years' experience with managing Software Build and Deployment Automation using Jenkins, Docker, RedHat OpenShift, SonarQube, Artifactory, amongst other tools
+ Minimum of 1 years' experience with using the Atlassian suite of tools including JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket
+ Strong communication, leadership skills, and ability to work independently
+ US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD clearance

**Preferred Requirements for both levels.**

+ SW Engineering / Development experience
+ Computer Science degree
