Your Role and Responsibilities
Location: Research Triangle Park, North Carolina

We are looking for enthusiastic and innovative team members to join us as we provide enterprise access control and authentication services from our location in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Position Summary:

This development role is primarily focused on service enablement and integration work related to enterprise access control and authentication services. This work normally involves front and backend development that interacts with APIs provided by the services to enable automation and integration to enhance the value from, and user experience with, the services provided.

Responsibilities include:

- Focus on driving service automation and integration to enhance the value derived from the deployed services.
- Participate in the technical evaluation of enterprise access control and authentication services.
- Contribute to the day-to-day development, implementation, monitoring and operational support of enterprise access control and authentication services.
- Architect, design and code enterprise access control and authentication services and the associated tooling and support services.
- Contribute to developer-centric education focused on the use of and integration with enterprise access control and authentication services.
- Contribute to the overall IBM CISO mission through the sharing of information and expertise.

- Able to establish goals and collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to ensure that these goals are met.
- Possess highly technical and analytical expertise, with a proven deep background in technology design, implementation and delivery.

Required Education:
- Bachelors Degree in in computer science, engineering, MIS or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Education:
- Masters degree in computer science, engineering, MIS or related field, or equivalent experience.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 5+ years of experience developing web applications, front and back end, and using and consuming web services.
  • 5+ years of experience with languages such as Java, Node.js/JavaScript and Python.
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud computing technologies, including software, infrastructure, platform-as-a-service, containers and serverless.
  • 2+ years of experience with directory services, NoSQL and relational databases.
  • 2+ years of experience with SCM tools (git), CI/CD tools (Travis, Jenkins, etc.), CM tools (Puppet, Chef, etc.), testing tools and similar.
  • Working knowledge of Linux, UNIX, Windows and OSX.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Interest, prior experience and knowledge related to cybersecurity, including, but not limited to, enterprise access control and authentication services.
  • Any demonstrated expertise with enterprise access control and authentication services including some level of knowledge of technologies and protocols such as; two-factor/multi-factor authentication, biometrics, single-sign-on, TLS, PKI, OpenID, OAUTH, SAML, FIDO U2F/FIDO2, OTP/TOTP, WebAuthn, Duo, Yubikey and RSA SecureID.
