**This is a role well suited to an ambitiousprofessional, looking for the next step in their career. As a** **Detection Systems Engineering Intern,** **you will be responsible for** :









+ Work with lead engineers to develop designoptions for an optical sub-system for clinical chemistry

+ Model optical properties

+ Develop detailed mechanical tolerance stackups

+ Execute experiments to determine feasibilityof design

+ Develop and execute characterization,including test bed development, of sub-assemblies

+ Collaboration with other engineeringdisciplines and sub-systems

+ You have a good PC skills (MS Office softwarelike Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)

+ You will be working with our latest technologyand therefore you are willing to learn about new software and hardwaresolutions

+ You enjoy hands on development of components

+ You have good communication skills

+ You are a self-starter and motivated to workindependently



**Required skills to have for the success of this role**



+ Currently pursuing a Bachelors (rising junior/senior), Master's, or PhD degree inElectrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering orequivalent experience required

+ Minimum of junior in engineering discipline

+ Must have a minimum GPA of 3.2 or higher



**Start date: May2020; 3-month duration.**
