Data Products Lead

This role is to enable effective, highly scalable data analysis pipelines and help shape the future of data-driven Business Analytics organization. You will work with various data producers as well as consumers to transform large scale complex data into formats that Data Scientists and Analysts can leverage for generating accelerated insights.


+ Lead the design and implementation of large scale data structures and data pipelines to collect, organize and standardize data to help generate quick insights.

+ Build feature engineering capabilities to run machine learning algorithms at scale.

+ Oversee a team of Data Engineers in building and deploying data pipelines across on-premises and cloud, capable of processing and storing terabytes of data quickly and reliably.

+ Manage the tools and technology contract budgets with a high degree of financial discipline

+ Establish semantic models and continuously curate the ontologies in support of business intelligence and advanced analytic tools.

+ Develop frameworks, standards & reference material for data architecture and feature engineering in support of Data Scientists and Analysts.

+ Experiment and implement graph database for suitable business use-cases.

+ Actively drive data products adoption through change management and increase data reliability, efficiency & speed to insights.

+ Analyze data patterns and utilization with a constant eye toward continuous improvement.

+ Manage data product lifecycle from inception to adoption and beyond.

+ Establish a strong collaborative culture with peers and other functions across Pfizer Digital. Promote a culture of success, pride, performance, discipline, innovation and creativity.


+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or closely related field with a minimum of 10 years technology experience.

+ 5 or more years of progressively complex experience in building big data engineering solutions.

+ Experience with data processing and manipulation in SQL and Java, Python or Scala.

+ Experience optimizing data pipelines and data processing in a decoupled storage and compute paradigm.

+ Proven skills in working across diverse, cross-functional teams in solving data problems

+ Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams.

+ 5+ years of experience in leading, coaching and developing talent in a technical organization.

+ Strong expertise in developing data models, Data APIs and Machine Learning or related discipline.

+ Superior ability to communicate conceptual architecture and technical ideas to not so technical stakeholders in written and verbal form.
