**Overview of the Role**

As Data Horizontal & Integration Head - Process, Control & Risk Data Integration, you will report directly to the GCT Head of Controls Transformation and will be responsible for helping to ensure that we have the engineering discipline and technology capabilities to effectively manage risk and enable a robust controls environment across GCT-NAM.

This person in this role will manage changes/updates to the Enterprise Data Governance Policy implementation, inclusive of coordinating any execution plans that need to be developed to ensure oversight and control of data management activities across the company. This position is a critical strategic role that will partner closely with Regional CIOs, Heads of Technology and Business Leaders to develop and execute a strategy.

**Priorities Include:**

+ Operates as principal lead for all Process, Control & Risk Data Integration activities.

+ Responsible to drive Data Mart definition and build out strategy for all the Risk and Controls Transformation scope of process and activity simplification.

+ Responsible to drive the near real time detection and monitoring of Business process controls by building the Event Hub pipeline for Business process data.

+ Responsible to closely work with senior leaders in Data and Analytics team to design future proof solutions that have sustainable data practices for data engineering, standardization, modeling and reporting lifecycle.

+ Develop risk and control metrics/ KRIs, CAP assessment, and automate risk & controls monitoring.

+ Ensures GCT-NAM is defining and implementing Risk & Control practices, processes and solutions that are in alignment with the strategy and goals.

+ Develop and implement best-in-class processes, metrics and practices.

+ Establish and build relationships and partnerships across business, technology and operational lines.

+ Provide leadership, development opportunities, performance management, development and succession-planning, staff communications, and positive interactive working environment to ensure the highest productivity and employee engagement, globally.

+ Develop daily metrics to assess quality of execution to feed scorecards at all levels.

+ Apply knowledge of business products, processes and technology to identify opportunities for further strengthening of the control environment across the business.

+ Keep abreast of competitive landscape. Is considered a subject matter expert in the field of control management.

+ Manage, inspire, and attract top industry talent to deliver best in class digital experience for our customers.

+ Champion an inclusive and diverse global mindset in order to attract a deep and diverse talent pool within the organization that includes effective coaching and development.

+ Perform end-to-end review and challenge of program deliverables to confirm quality and adequacy of deliverables against program target state and regulatory commitments and expectations

+ Coordinate with Internal Audit on internal closure process for the program

+ Ensure sustainability of programs through appropriate capability building and implementation of best practice change management

**Organizational Scope**

+ Strong interaction with Technology teams. Represent GCT-NAM on key Senior Management forums at Regional and Global levels, including Risk, O&T and Finance.

+ Act as the focal point for Technology leaders in knowing, understanding and synthesizing the state of the technology controls environment.

+ Provide vision, leadership and direction for Risk & Controls across GCT-NAM. Serve as the voice to gain alignment on and drive execution of strategy. Ensure organizational effectiveness/accountability, global optimizations, and superior products / services within an environment of continuous learning & growth.

+ Champion an inclusive and diverse global mindset in order to attract a deep and diverse talent pool within the organization that includes effective coaching and development.

+ Ultimate accountability for a robust technology controls environment. This includes driving excellence in engineering capabilities, automation, monitoring, risk mitigation, compliance and culture.

+ Evaluate opportunities and enable measurable improvements quickly and best utilize resources, while building a technology roadmap that matches strategy and direction.

+ Manage best-in-class quality and simplification methodology and governance of process management.

+ Partner with senior engineers and engineering managers to develop best practices.

+ Establish and maintain a high performing, open culture based on integrity and strong partnership and financial responsibility. Strong leadership skills and presence; can lead through influence / without formal authority.

+ Communicates effectively and impactfully to all levels of an organization, from engineers to Board members

+ Self-starter who brings high sense of urgency, and energy, to assignments and goals

+ Derive critical insights from technology research, market analysis and market trends that will ensure solutions and services that excel in the digital age and translate these into tangible opportunities; work with stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to define / communicate the technology approach and delivery plan to meet rapidly evolving market demands.

+ Forge a response to the pressing challenges ahead, to deliver solutions in multiple dimensions, such as digital enterprise strategy, incubation and innovation, experience transformation, digital operations and digital trust.


The ideal candidate will come from an international organization and be a visionary leader in risk & control, automation and monitoring. Bachelor degree in computer science, business or a related field. Masters degree or equivalent experience preferred.

+ 15+ years relevant work experience, including experience leading large, cross-functional teams across engineering, program management and risk & control.

+ Consistent managing teams and large, strategic cross-functional or enterprise projects Previous program/project management, consulting, technology and/or management experience.

+ Strong analytical and quantitative skills; Data driven and results-oriented.

+ Experience in affecting large culture change.

+ Demonstrated understanding of business procedures, financial services, control and regulatory industry knowledge and general understanding of relevant banking regulation and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions.

+ Proven ability to influence decision-making at all levels within an organization and influence non-directs through data and a vision in a variety of contexts

+ Deep technical knowledge, with the ability to break down the work involved in solving them, and the impact of those decisions on engineering

+ Demonstrates sound business judgment, analytical acumen, consumer-centric mindset and communication skills.

+ A record of fostering a clear vision, translating that vision to action, and delivery of business measurable outcomes.
