Your Role and Responsibilities
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina

Are you looking for the next big challenge in your career? Come work for the office of the IBM Chief Information Security Officer and help meet the challenges of keeping our global enterprise secure.

We are looking for enthusiastic and innovative team members to join us as we provide enterprise access control and authentication services from our location in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Responsibilities include:
  • Identify, evaluate and participate in decision making around new and emerging IAM/MFA technologies.
  • Conduct architecture and design activities for enterprise access control and authentication services and the associated tooling and support services.
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of solving configuration issues, configuring applications, MFA endpoints, and enabling API integrations.
  • Partner with internal business units to ensure projects remain on target, within budget, and are completed according to internal policies and security standards.
  • Provide associated education and training for a variety of audiences including development staff, administrators and users.
  • Support deployed enterprise access control and authentication services.
  • Evaluate and monitor project efforts, timelines, and task management.
  • Effectively delegate tasks to ensure the project are carried through timely and effectively.
  • Contribute to the overall IBM CISO mission through the sharing of information and expertise.

Required Education:
  • Bachelors Degree in in computer science, engineering, information assurance, MIS or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Education:
  • Masters degree in computer science, engineering, information assurance, MIS or related field, or equivalent experience.



Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 7+ years of experience in information security, including
  • 5 or more years demonstrated expertise with enterprise access control and authentication services including in-depth knowledge of solutions, technologies and protocols such as; two-factor/multi-factor authentication, biometrics, single-sign-on, TLS, PKI, OpenID, OAUTH, SAML, FIDO U2F/FIDO2, OTP/TOTP, WebAuthn, Duo, Yubikey and RSA SecureID.
  • Extensive experience integrating MFA within a variety of environments and operating systems including cloud and common operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux, UNIX)
  • Experience deploying, supporting and maintaining enterprise security tools.



Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP and IAM vendor education, certifications and badges.
  • Development and scripting experience as it relates to integration with enterprise access control and authentication services strongly preferred.
  • Experience with databases, Active Directory and LDAP directory services, application servers, operating systems, common network protocols and network infrastructure.
