Northrop Grumman is seeking a proactive, passionate, and experienced data governance professional to serve as a specialist in the area of data security, data protection, and data management. This position reports to the Chief Information Security Office (CISO), working closely with the Chief Data Office (CDO), and will be responsible for evaluating data architectures to ensure secure delivery of all Northrop Grumman data types, to include proprietary data, privacy data, and federal Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), as well as other sensitive data types to achieve necessary consistency, quality, and protection of data to meet overall business needs. They will stay abreast of government regulations and be able to optimize internal policies and standards to benefit a data driven culture and the effectiveness of our company.

Responsibilities include:

+ Provide expertise and influence roadmap for enterprise data engineering
+ Provide expertise and influence policies, best practices, and standards for data and analytics engineering and governance throughout product lifecycle
+ Advise on technologies used to find, track and monitor sensitive information ensuring that information is protected while maintaining a positive, low-friction user experience
+ Engage with and/or manage data protection vendors as needed.
+ Improve data quality and data management enterprise wide through policies, advocacy, technology, and standards
+ Advise leadership team on information governance and architecture value, opportunities, and strategy
+ Advocate for and build a culture around secure data sharing and information governance; serve as a Subject Matter Expert to liaison between CISO and CDO offices
+ Identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve data privacy practices and team productivity

Basic Qualifications

+ At minimum, a Bachelors degree with 9 years of experience OR a Master's Degree with 7 years of experience.
+ Experience with data science approaches, cloud computing, cyber security, privacy, confidentiality, data analytics, policy analysis, and information quality standards
+ Experience with data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues
+ Demonstrated ability to stay abreast of developments at the intersection of data science, cybersecurity, government, policy, and business relevant to the company
+ Understanding of common security and privacy industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA / HITECH, COPPA, U.S. State Breach Disclosure Laws, GLBA,) and industry frameworks (e.g., ISO 27000 Series, SSAE-18 SOC 1/ SOC 2, NIST-P, FedRAMP, PCI-DSS), especially as it relates to building and operating a data protection and compliance program and/or managing internal security controls, risk assessments, business processes or operational auditing;
+ Possessing knowledge of data protection technologies and other emerging technologies, such as data encryption, data de-identification, cloud, Internet of Things (IoT)
+ Knowledge of application security principles

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience operating in a SAFe or Lean-Agile portfolio
+ Experience with DoD & international customers and/or partners

Salary Range: $125,800.00 - $234,000.00Salary Range 2: $0.00 - $0.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
