The candidate will provide information security engineering support for the accreditation of Army platforms. The candidate will help facilitate all phases of the accreditation process and work in conjunction with the Government POC to coordinate activities to achieve system ATO. Experience in RMF, ACAS and working with DoD programs a must. The candidate will interface with all members of the engineer team to ensure systems are maintained at the required security baseline. Must be able to work in a diverse multi-program environment.<\/p>

Responsibilities include:<\/p>

  • Monitor, track, and address Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) applicable to all networks on a monthly basis, and create POA&Ms for any vulnerabilities unable to be addressed<\/li>
  • Implement server configurations, operating systems, firewalls, patch management, and account management to protect the systems against threats and vulnerabilities<\/li>
  • Develop technical and written solutions to cyber security vulnerabilities (e.g. AD Group Policy, Local Security Policy, Windows/Unix scripts, documented mitigations)<\/li>
  • Prepares documentation to support installation for quarterly patching, deployment of quarterly patches in accordance with existing Configuration Management program<\/li>
  • Create and deploy system images in unique environments<\/li>
  • Upgrade administrative tools and utilities Configure / add new services as necessary<\/li>
  • Interface with other teams to create solutions and resolve technical issues<\/li>
  • Perform vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support accreditation and other program protection activities<\/li>
  • Utilize various information system inspection tools to audit systems, analyze potential vulnerabilities and identify mitigation approaches<\/li>
  • Conduct technical evaluation of information system designs, focusing on information security aspects and accreditation<\/li>
  • Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard information systems, networks and databases<\/li>
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology and security threats as assigned<\/li><\/ul>

    Qualifications<\/h2>
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance required<\/li>
    • Bachelor's Degree required<\/li>
    • 5 years of experience required<\/li>
    • Knowledge of AR 25-2, Information Assurance<\/li>
    • Working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process<\/li>
    • Experience assessing the technical and administrative implementation of security controls in accordance with NIST SP 800-53A<\/li>
    • IAVA scanning and reporting \u2013 can read and interpret<\/li>
    • Server maintenance in support of IAVM and STIG requirements<\/li>
    • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)<\/li>
    • Implementation experience with the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)<\/li>
    • Understanding of IP Networking<\/li>
    • Windows Server 2008 R2 / 2012<\/li>
    • Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)<\/li>
    • System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)<\/li>
    • VMWare ESX, Hyper-V (or other virtualization platforms)<\/li>
    • Knowledge of various Linux OSs is desired<\/li>
    • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS<\/li>
    • Imaging servers, workstations, and laptops<\/li>
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills<\/li>
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills<\/li>
    • Ability to reprioritize tasking on short notice and identify & communicate impact of change<\/li>
    • Quick learner, creative, resourceful, and able to work both independently and as a team<\/li>
    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • DoD 8570 Compliance with IAT Level II or higher<\/li>
      • Experience working on a government contract<\/li> <\/ul><\/li>
      • Minimum of 15% travel required<\/li><\/ul>
