User Experience (UX) is one of the top priorities for SAP and our customers. We are looking for experienced program/project managers to develop new business and help shape and manage the key relationships between our customers and our innovation initiatives to ensure delivery of impactful results that fundamentally transform our customers experience and adoption of our products. Our customers also see a high potential in digitally transforming their organization, business models and processes by putting the humans in the center of all activities.

At the SAP AppHaus we apply SAPs Approach to Customer Innovation to bring SAPs Business Technology Platform to life and make innovation real. On our projects we leverage a proven methodology (Explore Discover Design & Prototype Deliver Run & Scale) powered by Design Thinking. Learnings from our projects flow back into the development organizations.

The primary focus of this role will be developing new business but also orchestrating end-to-end customer engagements from initial inquiry and pre-sales to UX issue discovery, solution definition and optimal service delivery to our customers, leveraging the Design Thinking Methodology. The environment of the engagements is highly ambiguous and requires a high level of flexibility.
As a part of the process you may be actively engaged in various local customer councils and driving global programs too. You will also be working closely with the product and services organizations and stakeholders within SAP that are offering services or undertaking UX initiatives (e.g. custom development, DBS, value engineering, pre-sales).


  • Bachelors degree required
  • MBA or Masters degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in working in and with cross-cultural teams
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining program deliverables such as charter, program/project management plan, status reports, communication plan etc.
  • Experience in communication and interaction with senior executives from customers, partners, and at SAP across different industries, LOBs and cultures
  • Experienced Design Thinker preferred
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and informal team-building abilities
  • Very good knowledge about SAP technologies and SAP product portfolio preferred
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong ability to inspire and convince internal stakeholders as well as customers and partners
  • Track record of generating business


  • Business development including lead generation and qualification with internal and external stakeholders for AppHaus projects
  • Work with customers and design teams to formulate AppHaus service delivery and/or co-innovation programs, which translate generalized business goals into concrete and measurable outcomes for customers.
  • Be an evangelist for the SAP Innovation Approach for Customers
  • Drive global program within the AppHaus team in close alignment with internal stakeholders
  • Lead selected customer engagements as Customer Design Engagement Lead with strong commitment to time and budget
  • Actively drive the creation of customer reference stories
  • Manage projects structuring and developing solid project plans and milestones and deliverables and ensure execution by handling issues and roadblocks.
  • Actively participate in customer events to share our success stories and the value of the human-centered innovation approach.
  • Drive regular reporting about leads, opportunities and projects.
  • Work across all SAP board areas promoting the SAP One Innovation methodology, programs and other topics of interest

Work Experience

  • 5+ years experience in managing large programs
  • 4+ years experience in executing design-led customer projects
  • 3+ years experience as design thinking coach
  • 5+ years business experience cross industry and cross LOB
  • Proven track record of business development and project delivery
  • Participation in innovation customer engagements
