Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM is hiring a Customer Service Representative, CICS L2 Support, this role:
  • specializes in performing and enabling technical support of IBM Lab software and solutions.
  • provides technical support assistance to customers using problem determination/problem source identification skills.
  • Utilizes technical and negotiation skills in collaboration with other support operations/organizations to prioritize and diagnose problems to resolution.
  • requires communication of action plans to the customer or IBM representative as appropriate
  • recommends and implements new or improvements to existing technical support tools, procedures, and processes.
  • May provide training for and mentor others on the team, and contributing to department attainment of organizational objectives and high customer satisfaction.



Required Professional and Technical Expertise
For this role, we require:
  • proven strong technical and interpersonal skills
  • strength and facility communicating in writing and spoken
  • zSystems knowledge and support experience
We are seeking strong skills in one or more of the following:
  • zOS. Assembler, problem determination skills


Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
As person hired will focus on newer technologies, knowledge or experience in the following is preferred:
  • Java/J2EE, JavaScript/Node.js,
  • XML/JSON, Unix, CICS Web Services with JAX-WS & JAX-RS,
  • SOAP/REST, API Economy (zOS Connect)
