How will you make an impact?

The Customer and Market Insights Analyst will utilize various information sources and research techniques to develop an in-depth understanding of market intelligence as well as customers’ perceptions, behaviors, and preferences across key touch-points. The ideal candidate will be curious by nature and driven to discover impactful insights, delivering thoughtful recommendations through compelling presentations to ultimately influence business decisions and maximize business value.

What will you do?

  • Plan, executive and analyze quantitative and qualitative market research studies utilizing a range of approaches to best support Brand, channel, and upstream and downstream marketing strategies.
  • Facilitate and moderate brainstorming and data synthesis sessions to produce insights that address key business issues.
  • Derive market insights, customer and competitor intelligence to inform all levels and business areas about market trends, business opportunities, and threats.
  • Transform research findings into actionable insights and communicate recommendations across the organization to drive strategic decision making and mid- to long-range business planning.
  • Able to quickly understand patterns within a large quantity of data and to reference key characteristics using visualization techniques.
  • Identify and investigate new research methods and data sources to continually improve the value of Insights to the organization.
  • Collaborate with other divisional Customer Insights leads to leverage expertise, findings, and best practices
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of different research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
  • Keep internal clients proactively informed on the progress of projects.

Travel

  • Domestic and international travel 10% of the time or less

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Marketing, Market Research, or related fields.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Consulting, Market research, or Customer Insight research.
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience in the design, execution, and analysis of different Product and Go-to-Market quantitative research methodologies – including Brand and Product positioning research, Concept testing, Value Proposition research, usability testing, and creative concept testing.
    • 1-3 years of experience directly helping marketing teams within the Life Sciences, Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical, or Biotechnology space.
    • Demonstrated expertise in developing and managing primary research studies, utilizing databases, integrating and translating information into high-value planning insights.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    • Experience with SPSS or other statistical software.
    • Experience with advanced survey research tools such as Qualtrics or similar.
    • Experience in knowledge management and data visualization highly desired.

  • Highly driven, results-oriented, detail-oriented, self-directed creative and nimble problem solver who uses technical data analytics skills coupled with customer and market research skills and a willingness to do “whatever it takes” to drive business value quickly.
  • Proven track record of consistently producing deliverables that are well-written and contain helpful information, providing solid and actionable recommendations.
  • Proven ability to synthesize lots of information and distill it into meaningful actionable insights.
  • Solid organization, project management, time management, and planning skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
