Position Title: Custodial Technician

Department: Operations

Reports To: Director of Safety

Classification: Non Exempt

Shift: 7:30-4PM

DUTIES:

Wash windows inside and outside

Clean and sanitize bathrooms

Floor cleaning as appropriate - Clean, mop, wash, buff, and vacuum floors

Remove trash inside and outside

Maintain outside walk areas including sweeping debris and washing walkways

Assist with snow and ice removal

Pick up trash and debris on property grounds

Sweep, mop, vacuum, buff and wax floors

Restock paper and soap supplies in restrooms

Other exterior cleaning: (trash, cleaning up around picnic tables, dumping smoke-ash containers, dumping external trash cans).

General tasks: check light fixtures, replace as needed

All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:

Knowledge of the standard methods, materials, and equipment employed in custodial work

Knowledge of floor stripping, waxing and buffing equipment and the ability to use them

Knowledge of cleaning procedures and the use of cleaning materials/equipment

Comprehend and follow safety rules and regulations

Understand and follow oral and or written policies, procedures and instructions

Perform duties/responsibilities with accuracy and speed under time-sensitive deadlines

Integrity, ingenuity and inventiveness in the performance of assigned tasks

Operate and use a variety of equipment and tools

Maintain effective work relationships with others

High School Diploma or GED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Physical Demands - Standing; Walking; Pushing; Pulling; Lifting; Climbing; Balancing; Carrying; Twisting; Turning; Bending; Stooping; Kneeling

Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
