Credit Operations Project Management Lead, AVP

Job Description

The Credit Operations Project Management Lead is an intermediate management level position responsible to lead and drive the system enhancements to support transformation initiatives for Credit Initiation. In this capacity, the Credit Initiation Project Management Lead will engage stakeholders from various functions including product & sales, GCT/technology, control functions (Compliance/In-Business Country Department/Operation Technology Risk & Control Department), risk management, Credit Initiation Line Manager, Credit Operation Head and system end users as to ensure sufficient oversight in the new initiative ideas. He/she will be actively involved in discussing the design, implementation and testing of system-related (this includes automation tool solution like Robotics RPA, Xceptor and etc) to support these initiatives.

The lead will also drive the training and adoption of technology/rule changes amongst member of credit initiation teams both in onshore & offshore locations supporting the Hong Kong portfolio.


+ Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to increase the efficiency of credit initiation processes

+ Lead Projects and initiatives - System enhancement, Robotics Solution and other smart automation tools solutions

+ Manage projects across workstreams (like Country, Regional, Business and Regulatory Drivers) and ensure the deliverables are on track. Regularly update Line Managers and Head of Credit Operations should there be any challenges.

+ Perform analytical and troubleshooting on reported systematic incidents from the users and work with Technology team to come up with a resolution plan.

+ Provide evaluative impact analysis judgement and assessment based on information analysis during UAT testing phases and Production reported incident.

+ Manage staffing requirements in order to meet project timelines and engaged Line Manager for support in case it is under capacity.

+ Coach and motivate staff, ensure staff development, manage performance, and make recommendations for appropriate personnel actions

+ Coordinating with other functions subject matter expert (SME) in Credit Operations to provide regular initiative updates for Management Forum.

+ Manage Change Management Process starting from initiative planning, UAT testing, Friendly User testing (FUT), Production Launch and ongoing monitoring

+ Appropriately assess risk prior to making business decisions. Demonstrating meticulous attention and consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations adhering to Policy.


+ 5-8 years of experience in a related role

+ Intermediate to senior level experience in a related role with commensurate people management experience preferred

+ Demonstrated ability to resolve issues utilizing in-depth disciplinary knowledge of concepts and procedures

+ Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication


+ Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience
