**Job Description**

The Senior Advisor of Issues and Crisis Communications is a member of the Corporate Communications team. Working closely with the Senior Director of Communications - Issues and Crisis and the Vice President of External Affairs, this individual will support multiple work streams for the companys crisis communications readiness plan, as well as communications strategies and tactics to effectively manage/mitigate issues that impact corporate reputation.


The position will be responsible for contributing to long range crisis communications and issues management planning, executing rapid responses to reputational threats, and providing effective communications counsel to internal stakeholders.


Major Responsibilities

- Management of CVS Healths crisis communications readiness plan

- Develop and maintain communications tool kits for the most significant reputational risks to the enterprise

- Coordinate crisis communications simulations run by Corporate Communications and providing communications counsel to enterprise crisis management exercises

- Develop and execute rapid response messaging for media inquiries on incidents, issues and potential crises to mitigate negative impact on corporate reputation

- Work closely with business unit and shared services leaders throughout the enterprise to help identify issues and develop communications solutions to mitigate them

- Monitor and measure issues impacting the enterprise through internal and external tools/resources

- Support the issues/crisis and corporate reputation priorities of the External Communications COE leadership; serve as back-up to Senior Director of Communications - Issues and Crisis.


**Required Qualifications**

- 8 years of work experience in a communications or media related function.


**Preferred Qualifications**

- Background in a health care or retail organization a plus

- Strong written and verbal communications skills

- Experience engaging with media in a fast-paced environment

- Organized and detail-oriented with an ability to multi-task

- Ability to work collaboratively across a complex organization


**Education**

Bachelor's Degree required. Bachelor's degree in a communications-related field preferred.
