Responsible for researching, reconciling, and posting Mandatory and/or Voluntary Corporate events. Identify Corporate Action events in DTC and XSP systems. Verify critical data fields and set up notifications to send to clients. Ensure Corporate Action text is concise and includes all pertinent information needed for clients to base their decisions. Post and reconcile Corporate Action events to client accounts, ensuring entitlements and taxability are accurate. Research taxability on complex actions to ensure gains/losses are accurate based on event details. Ensure voluntary client elections made to agents are accurate and timely to prevent financial loss. Monitor and reconcile cash/asset exceptions and work to resolve. Quickly identify and differences between custody system and depositories to mitigate risk of financial loss. Identify and pursue any necessary claims with counterparties due to trade activity. Respond to inquiries regarding events. Ability to explain and answer any questions regarding complex Corporate Action events. Work directly with Settlement teams on trade fails caused by Corporate Actions. Work with Trade Services team on obtaining Voluntary action elections. Responsible for client conversions/deconversions to alleviate risks associated with transfers. **Qualifications:** Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience - Five or more years of experience in financial accounting activities Preferred Skills/Experience Advance knowledge of the financial markets and investment industry. Should have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication (both oral and written) skills. Ability to follow detailed procedures and understand the risk associated with Corporate Action Events The candidate should understand how cash and assets are reflected in client accounts and how asset configuration, accounting rules, trust to trust transfers, receipts/deliveries, buys/sells and other transaction activity impact the Corporate Action calculations. Knowledge of taxability and cost basis and the effects on Corporate Actions is preferred.
