Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Planning and development of security activities to ensure that company security policies and procedures comply with government standards.
  • Monitors company security policies and procedures for currency and relevancy to business operations.
  • May investigate violations of security policies and recommend corrective­ action.
  • Develops and implements security education programs. Ensures that all appropriate personnel have completed all security training requirements and that documentation to that effect is maintained as appropriate.
  • Acts as primary liaison with outside agencies. Interfaces with government inspectors on a regular basis. Responds quickly and effectively implementing corrective action as required.
  • Responsible to keep company leadership informed at all times of any suspected compromise to security systems.
  • Contributes to the preparation of presentations, proposals and quotes as needed for security related matters.
  • Demonstrating familiarity with the DOD Manuals 5205.07 Volumes 1-4 and the NISPOM
  • Interpreting and implementing Security Classification Guidance
  • Under minimal supervision, administration of routine aspects of the DoDMs
  • Ability to solve problems of varying levels of complexity
  • Assisting in the development of Program Protection Plans (PPPs). 
  • Supporting other security disciplines within the SAP/SCI program to include: Personnel Security, DD254s, Physical Security, Cybersecurity, Communications Security (COMSEC), Document Control and Visitor Control
  • Working knowledge of JPAS, DIAS, e-QIP, DISS and other USG databases.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in related discipline, or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience successfully developing, implementing, and managing security requirements in support of the NISP and compartmented programs in industry.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of the NISPOM, DoD Manuals, physical and personnel security requirements and other Government directives/policies.
    • Proven, sustained history of an effective security program.
    • Professional certifications (e.g. FSO, ISP, CPP, etc.) preferred.
    • DoD Top Secret Clearance eligibility with Investigation current within last 6 years 
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance and all Special Program accesses
    • Must be well organized, willing to work in a team environment, be able to prioritize tasking, and perform in a multi-tasked and dynamic environment
    • Willing to work extended hours in a fast paced, deadline driven environment while maintaining a positive, proactive demeanor
    • Ability to travel on company business (approx. 20%)
