Position Objectives:


  • Support all sales channels (enterprise, XBS, Agent, DTP) in contract development and terms and conditions finalization in a manner that supports achievement of their revenue and activity outlooks but stays within Xerox's defined risk level limits.
  • Review, validate and create terms and conditions solutions, negotiate terms and conditions directly with Customers and finalize agreements.
  • Create nonstandard terms and conditions to meet Customer requirements within acceptable boundaries.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of our contracting processes.
  • Review and respond to Customer bid documents (RFPs)
  • Interface with Xerox operational groups and divisions to develop contract solutions that meet Customer requirements.
  • Provide counsel, direction, coaching and training to field sales personnel regarding contract documents and the contracting process.
  • Help identify all risk factors within a formal solicitation or customized contract as it relates to segments of Xerox, including: Business Operations, Technical Services, Risk, Accounting, OGC, USCBO


Essential Functions:


  • Lead the process for planning, strategizing, negotiating and finalizing contracts
  • Apply established, or create new, contract language alternatives to resolve Customer terms and conditions issues. - Conduct direct negotiations with Xerox external customers.
  • Prioritize workload appropriately to ensure the most critical needs are being met within necessary timeframes.
  • Manage the contract negotiation process in individual engagements, providing all necessary direction and guidance to the sales contact to ensure success.
  • Conduct group presentations, training and workshops on contract documents.
  • Understand needs and requirements of the Public Sector marketplace
  • Act as an SME on public sector procurement processes



Applicant Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient in the use of PC business applications
  • Must have strong written, telephonic and oral communication skills
  • Should have experience in creating and revising contract terms and conditions
  • Should have experience and demonstrated skills in direct contract negotiations with external Customers
  • Must have knowledge of Xerox terms and conditions
  • Must have knowledge of OGC, Acct and Risk corporate requirements
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, be team-oriented, and be willing to provide back up or assistance to other team members, as needed
  • Must have a high degree of energy and be willing to work outside of normal business hours, if, and as, necessary - Must be goal-oriented and have excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must have field experience, understanding Public Sector customer requirements, procurement processes and state laws
