Overview




This Contract Administrator position provides contract support on proposal and contract activities of varying complexity in support of the Defense and National Intelligence Business Unit of HII-MDIS. Will work within a team environment to prioritize and respond to emerging requirements. Contracting experience supporting U.S. Federal Government organizations/agencies is preferred.




Responsibilities




- Reviews solicitations and prepares responses of varying complexity for proposals, bids, and contract modifications.- Daily administration of Government contracts, prime contractor issued subcontracts, and task orders - typically CPFF and/or T&M.- Works under the direction of the Business Unit Sr. Contracts Manager.


- Ensures that work is performed in compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures.- Prepares and administers routine correspondence, negotiation memoranda, supporting documents, and contract documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal.- Interacts daily with Program Managers, Contracting Officers, Program Controllers and other operational representatives.- Monitors compliance with contractual T&Cs.- Reviews and negotiates Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Teaming Agreements (TAs).- Inputs contract information into GOVWIN database and contracts repository in a timely manner.- Notifies Functional Representatives (Finance, Project Control, Procurement, etc.) and Program Management of new awards and modifications.- Communicates contract policy and practice to internal business teams.


- Other duties may be assigned, as necessary




Qualifications




Minimum Qualifications:- Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills- Excellent analytical skills and a proven ability to interpret and implement regulations- Ability to participate in multi-functional teams working on export issues with an ability to drive issues to conclusions- Basic knowledge of the FAR/ DFARS- Attention to detail and follow through on assignments- Self-starter who can develop effective networks with customers- Ability to prioritize among complex and conflicting requirements- Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel





Education:Must have a BA/BS from an accredited college or university and 4 years of prior relevant experience. (Other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted.)
