Consumer Operations Risk Control Senior Officer

The incumbent will partner closely with the Regional & Country Consumer Operations teams, Regional & Global functions (including Compliance, Legal, Operational Risk Management, etc) as well as Country Consumer Business Operational Risk and Control (CBORC) to drive Operations Processes reengineering and contribute directly to the GCG enterprise wide Risk & Transformation efforts.

The role would support the Asia GCB Operations leadership team in managing and mitigating operational risks while working on Operations Processes reengineering and Risk & Transformation projects for Singapore and to the project team as and when required. The incumbent will also provide subject matter expertise on risk and control, project manage regional control initiatives and engage in Consumer Operations controls strategy, governance and framework as filtered down from Global project Team.

This role is part of the Singapore Consumer Operations teams and reports through matrix to the Regional Consumer Operations Risk and Control Head

Collaborate cross functionally to introduce enhanced risk management and controls, including an enterprise-wide risk management framework, commensurate with Citis structure.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Drive assessment of design adequacy of Key Controls by assessing 6 factors, (What, Who, When, Where, How, and Sustainability)

+ Identify opportunities for Digitization and Automation of controls including RPA opportunities

+ Partner with the Ops teams to ensure controls are appropriately updated in Operations process flows and lead process reengineering and Risk & Transformation projects as it evolves

+ Partner with the business in root cause analysis of risk events and control breaks, and establish an effective feedback loop to management

+ Drive standards related to the Issue, Defect and Incident tracking process, in line with global standards of Issue management operating model/governance

+ Define comprehensive KPIs/Metrics for senior executive consumption for each Ops function by working in close partnership with them

+ Support the regional submission for the GCB O&T Governance Process Council including assessment of Internal and External loss events

+ Support regional roll out of global initiatives on Controls (Procedure Governance standards, Tech dependent Issue management etc)

+ Drive design and implementation of new control operating model for Operations as it transforms from an Analogue to Digital world

+ Promote a culture of continuous improvement and cultivating a robust service and control environment

+ New Quality Control process for MCA and subsequent updates/changes that will be required & Inventory and assessment of current Quality Assurance activities


+ Bachelors/Masters degree

+ Minimum 10+ years of experience with strong strategic, analytical and product management (Consumer Operations) skills

+ Good working knowledge of Consumer Operations and processes for Third Party Management and Records Management

+ Strong Stakeholder Management Skills (eg written and verbal communication, influencing skills & negotiation)

+ Strong interpersonal skills, situational awareness and emotional intelligence

+ Ability to work independently, interface and execute with a sense of urgently and to deliver on tasks effectively and efficiently

+ Able to build rapport with key business stakeholders, ensuring open information flow Be sought out as an expert and constructive advice giver
