What Youll Do

As a Collaboration Consulting Engineer in the Automated Migration & Implementation (AM&I) Engine you will partner with Delivery, CXPM, TTG, CXPE (CX Platform Engineering), Business Development and Product Engineering teams to lead and develop strategic solutions for our customers, specifically by developing Solution Modules. You will provide Architectural guidance and standard methodologies that translate business objectives and requirements into specific recommended offers/solutions. Identify potential deployment blockers and fix them. You must be a strong communicator who comfortably adapts to a variety of changing, fast-paced business demands.

Your other responsibilities will include:

  • Build and foster strong working relationships with CXPM, TTG, CXPE and Delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management, advocate customer feature requests and help influence our product roadmap based on Delivery inputs.
  • Consistently grow your knowledge of the competitive landscape and industry trends.
  • Contribute to develop new Collaboration solution modules and position Automated Migrations solutions to enable new deals with competitive customer requirements.
  • Work with CXPM, BDMs, Sales and Delivery teams to come up with new revenue streams and models for incremental bookings (and revenue).
  • Team leader of Cisco resources for all CXC offers from offer development to offer booking.
  • Effectively understand delivery expectations - develop, foster and maintain trusted advisor relationships with Delivery teams to establish and maintain your technical edge.
  • Develop playbooks to drive scalability through repeatable implementations, using your attention to detail and focus on process efficiency.
  • Develop the overall strategic Migration offers (bundled offers) for customers to meet their business needs aligned to Cisco Sales motions.
  • Build technical proficiency across Collaboration products and supported technical integrations. Present tools demos and share knowledge with Delivery teams, create required solution collaterals.
  • Share and help to Implement the success Strategy across similar accounts and/or verticals and Segments using the delivery teams as appropriate.
  • Represent the organization at the highest levels within the internal partner ecosystem.
  • Develop and deliver Quarterly Success Reviews on agreed metrics and progress.

Who Youll Work With

The Consulting Engineer will build relationships with the extended Cisco team comprising of CXPM, BU, BDMs, CXPE, TTG, CXC Delivery teams and Senior leadership in achieving their goals. You will:

  • Work with Account teams, BU and the CXPM, TTG team(s) to identify use cases pertaining to a segment/Vertical and arrive at potential solutions and Architectural blueprint.
  • Build and develop strong relationships with BDMs and CXPM team to develop a holistic and deep view of immediate needs and current Sales programs.
  • Assist Delivery teams to accelerate their readiness.
  • Provide customer insights based on a deep understanding of delivery standard methodologies for Architecture, Implementation, Adoption & Migrations.
  • Work with Delivery teams post-sales to understand delivery challenges and relay the feedback to CXPM and BU for consideration in the next offers' development.
  • Acts as a voice for customers and AM&I working with the CXP team. Understands the customer Automation needs in Pre-sales stage and translates them into Tool customizations or enhancements as required.
  • Acts as liaison between CXPE and the AM&I team along with Delivery leads and/or Solution Architects
  • Ensure the strategy and direction is integrated within the overall account team goals and Sales motions.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative analysis to drive Innovation and Operational efficiency
  • Provide detailed and documented requirements - collaterals, Workflows, Use cases, Implementation blueprints to fit the Performance One framework and multi-functional teams as needed

Who You Are

  • Strategic, autonomous problem solver who can develop/implement a GTM strategy across all stages of the Automated migration lifecycle and is skilled at driving continued process improvements
  • You have a programmatic approach, and readily identify process inefficiencies.
  • You would be comfortable using a language like Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript to develop robust and maintainable software solutions that adhere to industry standard methodologies.
  • You collaborate with SPMs (Services Product Managers) and the cross-technology strategy teams to ensure cross-technology alignments are defined and communicated in a clear and simple manner.
  • You are creative and a love to be a change agent, able to work independently and within mixed teams
  • A customer-obsessed mentality with a strong grasp of relevant success stories, customer requirements, and delivery standard methodologies to drive business outcomes of incremental business.
  • You are detail oriented, highly organized and adaptable to a changing environment. You have strong analytical abilities and have a comprehensive understanding of business processes and sales campaign strategy.
  • Strong relationship builder with a focus on aligning and collaborating with key partners Business Unit Team/Executives, CX Product Managers, CXPM Executives, Business development managers, Delivery Leads and Executives, CX Executives, CX Platforms team and Executives to drive an integrated, consistent customer-centric approach for new bundled offers.
  • Able to influence and overcome roadblocks together with our partners for positive shared outcomes, with minimal follow up and oversight.
  • Comfortable working in large complex Enterprise and SP environments, and ability to translate business needs to delivery and execution framework.
  • Understand the changing Industry trends, customer needs, Ciscos Engineering strategy and products roadmap to meet the demand.
  • Deeply understand customer business goals, environment, problems and operational maturity within the CXC team.

Desired Skills

  • Experience in roles that require direct technical customer interaction, such as Professional Services, Solutions and Engineering.
  • 10 years diverse experience in delivery and having played a consulting role.
  • Proven experience in working with product management or being an inspiring leader for solving business problems
  • A proven understanding of the Cisco Architectures and Portfolio, customer needs, industry trends, Cisco and competitor technologies
  • Consistent record to negotiate and influence actions of team members outside of your own function
  • Strategic, critical but creative problem solver with strong business sense
  • You love to lead, craft and work within multi-functional team environments
  • You are passionate about developing and taking accountability for new ideas and getting it implemented by working with multi-functional teams.
  • Ability to identify, prioritize and deliver measurable results using automation frameworks and understanding multi-functional dependencies
  • Strong business and technical writing skills, coupled with outstanding presentation abilities
  • Well-developed teamwork, collaboration skills to work under pressure and tough timelines
  • Deep understanding of Routing, Switching and adjacent technologies like Security, Core Infrastructure and Datacenter. Direct implementation experience.
