Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a highly talented and experienced Construction Project Manager. This role will support the execution of large scale, complex programs/projects in the education market sector for the West Regions Program & Project Management Business line (PPM). This opportunity is anticipated to begin in the Spring/Summer of 2021 and will be based in Portland, OR.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.

  • Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.

  • Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.

  • Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout. Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned project.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus eight (8) years of related experience executing large scale, complex construction programs/projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Previous experience in educational facility construction or public works projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduation from a recognized College or University with a Bachelor's or Masters degree in construction management, or related field such as engineering, architecture, or planning.

  • Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM).

  • Experience in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects.

  • DBIA, CCM, PMP, PE and/or AIA registration/certification.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage in a diverse and dynamic environment with short-notice tasking under high pressure situations.

  • Highly motivated and takes initiative.

  • Demonstrated proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office, specifically, Outlook, Word and Excel.

  • Ability to travel to various client site location.

  • Valid US Driver's License.
