Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) is seeking a highly experienced Configuration and Data Management (CMDM) Department Manager in the Aurora, Colorado area. The Department Manager provides strategic and tactical Configuration Management (CM) and Data Management (DM) expertise to the company ensuring that sound processes and procedures are implemented and that resources are made available to key programs to ensure product integrity.
The ideal candidate will draw from extensive experience in CMDM and lead a diverse team across multiple facilities and geographic locations. Candidate must apply critical judgment in the application of CMDM across a diverse customer base and requirements as the position spans multiple mission areas.
Regular contact with external and internal customers that include VPs, Program Managers and Senior Engineering.
The Department Manager will continuously monitor program and section activities and provide the Senior Department Manager with situational awareness as it applies to CMDM activities and overall product integrity. Provide proactive involvement with the mission areas in the region as they relate to CMDM.
Guide and implement automation, resource adoptions and efficient approaches to CMDM. Monitor and review current and future staffing and training requirements to ensure that a plan and staffing is in place to meet all program needs. Evaluate department members skill sets, train and develop staff to support engineering transformation activities. Provide advanced Systems, Hardware and Software Configuration and Data Management related technical judgment and guidance.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing, training, mentoring, hiring, staffing, performance reviews and professional development of section manager and employees
Deploying DevOps tool chains, Model based engineering and methodologies across programs and personnel within the organization
Deploying engineering transformation initiatives within the CMDM skillset to automate & integrate change management workflows and processes
Develop & deploy the baseline promotion process and align to effective testing performed within the pipeline
Develop CMDM personnel to support automation and tool initiatives
Ensuring the technical baselines are established, clearly documented and maintained throughout the lifecycle of the product
Required Skills:
Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience to include Configuration and Data Management experience in a DoD or similar regulated environment.
Must poses deep understanding of the CMDM discipline as well as an understanding of multiple engineering disciplines including Systems, Hardware and Software, Operations and Manufacturing in order to direct and oversee activities that closely impact CMDM
Experience managing large dispersed multi-discipline CMDM teams
Experience with Dev Ops tool chains, process automation & PLM/PDM systems as well as source and change controls and techniques
Excellent verbal and written communication to include executive level presentation skills
Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
Previous experience with Atlassian tool suites
Required Education:
Bachelors degree (STEM) from an Accredited University/School/College
