Do you love Inland Empire? Are you the go-to person when it comes to planning a night out, always ready with a recommendation for the citys most seasoned finds and hidden hotspots? As the Inland Empire Community Manager, youll be a full-time Yelp employee (working out of your home or anywhere with WiFi, as well as our headquarters in San Francisco on occasion) at the helm of a vibrant, buzzing community of locals who drink, shop and play their way through the city via peer recommendations on Yelp. Community Managers are driven, self-motivated, charismatic, and organised as theyre tasked with wrangling a slew of to-dos both on and offline, from writing and moderating to party planning and making things happen!

Where You Come In:

  • You will take part in content marketing: writing weekly newsletters with recommendations of where to go in Inland Empire, fully sourced from local opinions from your community.
  • You will be networking: Building a B2B and B2C network to increase growth in the online / offline Yelp Inland Empire community.
  • You will be taking part in event management: conception, organisation and realisation of small and large scale events in your community. The choice of events is free to leave to your creativity, but should be "cutting edge" in nature and be appealing to businesses to run and Yelpers to attend. 
  • You will be helping with social media: Quite simply -  you're an expert and know what you're doing in this world, creatively running Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts while engaging with a local audience as much as possible. 

What it Takes to Succeed:

  • You have experience: Ideally a university degree and / or professional experience in marketing or event management.
  • You're in the Inland Empire, CA area: You live for the buzz, excitement and rapidly expanding food & drink scene - Inland Empire is your city and you can't get enough of it!
  • You have the ability to work independently: You need to be reliable, kick ass and be able to work independently as a Community Manager for Yelp.
  • Your language skills: English (native level) both spoken and written.
  • You're a networker: You know everyone, you know what's hot in the city and you want to be the first to know what's going on. You're a natural born people person and have the ability to talk confidently with anyone.
  • You have creativity: You want to organise a foodie event for 10-200 people that you've designed - go for it. You want to run a marketing campaign working with loads of independent businesses - you got it! Have an idea for a street party that you think your Yelp community and wider Inland Empire will love - make it happen! This role is for the creative person who wants to wake up every morning and know that each day is going to be different.
