Conduct quantitative analysis on a variety of commodity markets for the purpose of understanding and forecasting market dynamics, including supply/demand balances and pricing. Apply sophisticated quantitative methods to quantify the impact of various drivers (technology, market changes) on the global energy, agriculture and broader commodities markets.
Focus on North American natural gas, with the capacity to also analyze agricultural markets
Be familiar with a variety of statistical techniques to consistently produce accurate, useful and innovative analyses is a must. Use R and Matlab programming skills to develop and maintain models to generate global energy/commodities market forecasts. Knowledge of machine learning is a plus.
Collaborate with other fixed income and equities research teams on cross-asset and multi-region research work
Assist in the production of research reports in a variety of capacities including data analysis, writing and editing and contributes to weekly and ad hoc commentary on a variety of commodity markets.
Presentation and client communication skills are essential for client work, including presenting analytical findings to clients and colleagues at external and internal meetings


Education/Experience Requirement:

Requires a Bachelors degree or non-US equivalent in Finance, Economics, Operations Research or a related quantitative field and two (2) years of experience as an analyst or related occupation analyzing commodities markets. A Masters degree would be a bonus.
