As a Finance Partnering Manager in Global Finance at GSK you will be offered a great breadth and depth of opportunity and challenge. This enables them to focus on developing, manufacturing and delivering medicines, vaccines and products to the patient and consumers who need them.Whether supporting the commercial businesses, one of the Global Support Functions or being part of the Corporate Finance team, effective Finance Partnering at GSK sits at the heart of all strategic and operational decisions providing insight, shaping options and driving results. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following

  • Provide the Brand teams with expert advice and support regarding financial management and control

  • Ensure all financial processes for the Brand Teams are compliant with GSK policies, International Financial Reporting Standards, and government regulations

  • Monitor A&P expenditures and oversee / partner with marketing teams during monthly brand spend meeting

  • Act as a point of contact for all internal and external audits

  • Act as a point of contact for all internal data requests

  • Oversee the preparation of the operating budget; manage P&L and provide guidance and lead review with Finance Director

  • Support regular cross-functional reviews of spend and ROI across the Brand Team

  • Provide financial support for business cases to drive growth, support brand strategy and provide input for decision making

  • Work with the brand teams to align / disseminate best practices, standard processes and procedures

  • Oversee preparation of financial reports, prepare comprehensive analysis, relevant and timely actual, budget and forecast reports and analysis for the brands on a monthly basis

  • Ensure that the strategies of the brands are consistently analyzed and measured, including incremental opportunities

  • Prepare innovation financial models and assist decision-making of innovation projects by providing financial rigor and commercial evaluation

  • Support cross-functional financial analyses between Marketing, Finance and Analytics, etc.

  • Build strong relationships with cross functional teams and become a partner of choice

  • Coordinate with stakeholders and review financial management activities for brands (i.e. monthly and annual closings), and ensure that deadlines are met

  • Accountable for the quality of deliverable and for ensuring that excellence in service delivery is maintained as the business environment changes

  • Validate accuracy of SAP data

  • Recommend / Monitor Finance controls with respect to speediness decisions

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5-7 years of work experience to include forecasting, budgeting, business analysis, and management reporting

  • Experience to include knowledge of accounting and financial modeling techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • MBA, preferably in Management, Finance or Accounting.
  • 3-5 years CPG experience in a Finance environment

  • Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA or local equivalent) or MBA

  • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive analysis with numerous commercial and financial data

  • Strong analytical skills and experience

  • Demonstrated business skills executed with integrity and independent commercial judgment

  • Demonstrated ability to balance conflicting priorities

  • Ability to work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision

  • Strong communicator, influencer and ability to effectively use negotiation and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to build good working relationships internally and externally

  • Working in a matrix organization where many of the key players are senior

  • Ability to function as a key team member

  • Confidence in interacting with all levels and functions (marketing, sales and finance) in the organization to influence actions

  • Ability to adopt a flexible approach to analyze and address ad-hoc requests or reporting requirements.

  • Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
